INDIANA BOY STOLEN IN 1904 BY ROVING WAGONER, WRITES TO THE NEWS FOR HELP IN THE SEARCH--MINERS OF AMERICA ALL ENLISTED IN THE HUNT. Is the kidnapped little boy of Dr. S. L. Byers, of SeeleyviUe, In this city or vicinity? Renewed efforts to find the boy wlio was cruelly stolen from his parents nearly two years ago are being made, and Dr.

Byers. has written to. the editor of The News a statement cf the case, asking for the interest and sympathy of the public. The boy, ns stated in more detail in Dr. Byers' accompanying article, was stolen 'from SeeleyviUe, a small Indiana mining town.

May 29, 1904. Since that time, the father has spent all his means in the search. He is new traveling about on a fund cf subscribed for the purpose in Indiana, running down all clews. No little tad of a bey that meets his eye escapes a scrutiny such as only a distracted parent can give. Qnly recently Dr.

Byers was given great comfort by action of the United Mine Workers of America. The miners in convention to decide the grea'. scale question, suspended their deliberations long e.iough to take up the trouble of this agonized father and mother. President Mitchell told the story of little Richmond Byers, and the miners voted $3,000 out of the treasury to assist in the search. A resolution was adopted to present the case to every miners' lodge in the United States and to call on every-American miner to constitute himself a detective of one to watch for the missing lad.
