The A gigantic project to get hard-to-recover oil out of the ground has just been started in a section of the huge Pembina oil able for using miscible-phase over the entire tract. Another limiting factor to wider use of miscible-phase in the Pembina field is the lack of a sufficiently large and economical supply of Wyoming wildcats anit important extensions.

LPG, which is "miscible" or soluble in oil, dissolves in the oil have extended greater-than-normal credit. Almost all the equipment firms operating abroad are being forced to extend more liberal credit than they think desirable.

And -in their attempts to wis and keep customers, U.S. equipment men. are increasing field service, the magazine reports. NEW YORK Lower-priced, foreign-made oil equipment especially European is expected to make steady inroads into the export market of U.S. firms, reports Petroleum Week, McGraw Hill publication.

In the past two years, two supply houses have lost 50 and 80 per cent in export business of tubular goods, the magazine found in its trapped in pores in the rock, making the oil more fluid. Dry natural gas is then pumped in behind the LPG to maintain the pressure that brings the oil to the surface. One of the newest techniques of secondary recovery, "miscible-phase displacement," will be used in a center section of the area involved. Despite these disadvantages, U.S. equipment firms still retain an edge with overall superiority in equipment duality, service and speed of delivery.

But manufacturers abroad are steadily building up capacity and improving delivery times.
