Divorce Complaints Not Lessened by Coming of Winter--The Court Happenings. Nelson Craig, administrator for the estate of Elizabeth Craig, has commenced suit against Dr. Frederick Schulz to recover damages in the sum ol $10,000 for the death of Mrs. Craig. The complaint was filed today by his attorneys, Leonard, Rose Zollara.

It set out that the deceased was walking along the St. Joe road, near her home, on the evening of July 12, 1916, and was struck by an automobile driven by the defendant. It is charged that no warning was given and that the defendant was driving at an excessive rate of speed. The accident attracted considerable attention at the time of its occurrence. Dr.

Schulz had dimmed his lights on passing another machine and just as the cars passed he struck Mrs. Craig, was walking on the road in search of a stray cow. She -was brought to St. Joseph's hospital, where death occurred. Male Help Wanted WANTED--Night cook at the Weber hotel.

Mrs. Sabina Brown Says Stepchildren Cheated Her. Sabina Brown has commenced suit against Joseph Brown and Martha Sprague, children of John Brown, to recover damages in the sum ot $4,000.

She says she was the second wife of John Brown, the couple having no children. For twenty years she worked him and saved, and when he died she should have received one-third of his property. She did not know her legal rights, she says, and the defendants induced her to accept two small lots in Monroeville renting for $6 a month, and some personal property, claiming if she did not take this she get nothing. In return for this she released to them all her rights to the property of her husband. Now she has learned her rights, she says, and she charges the defendants with fraud and demands $4,000 from them.

Charging that the cruel treatment of her husband, Otto Kreckman, has made of her a nervous wreck, Bertha Kreckman has commenced suit for a divorce. She says he has called her Wants First's Child. Mr. and Mrs. Warren B.

Murphy have filed a petition in the Huntington circuit court for the adoption of Arthur First, child of Charles First, now awaiting trial for the murder ol Bessie Keller, west of the city, a month ago. Todd, successful republican candidate for prosecuting attorney, has developed the most speed.

He has been forwarded his commission from Governor Ralston, although he will not take office until January 1, 1918. Court Notes. The two $10,000 damage suits filed by J. W. Dalton and Ora J.

Ramey against the New York Central lines, have been dismissed. The cases have been settled out of court Elizabeth Karkhoff has filed a petition as administrator of the estate of Louis Karkhoff, for an appraisement of the estate to determine the inheritance tax. The county commissioners have named Ralph Gunther, Raymond J. Mowry and Frank Phillips as viewers for the Turner ditch In Aboit township. Four criminal cases have been set for trial in the circuit court for December 16.

They are those against Paul Puff, for petit larceny; Charles Cooper, for driving an automobile while intoxi- and "Red" Dale, fo rassault and battery. The case of William W. Canada va. the Pennsylvania company, a suit for damages, has been transferred from the circuit to the United States district court. George B.

Johnson has secured an injunction preventing John A. Harkness from removing from the premises or selling any goods belonging to either Johnson or Harkness. The defendant is a tenant of the plaintiff. It is alleged that the defendant has not made proper payments to Johnson of the proceeds of the farm. The case of George Jacobs vs.

Emanuel Zerhendren has been dismissed. Nellie Woods, administratrix of the estate of Zacheus Clark, has filed a petition to sell part of the real estate. The county commissioners have established the Hoffman road In Wildwood park addition.
