W. DeWitt and Geo. Hobday, and unanimously adopted "Whereas, we honestly believe that the members of the Eadical Republican Party are either all, fools, knaves or maniacs, seeking to destroy all who are politically opposed to them, as well as themselves, as Samps did when he pulled down the temple; and, 1 i we, speaking lor ourselves, Know that we hold malice to none, but charity for all, and desiring to promote our own welfare, which must prove equally beneficial to our opponents, by measures as will procure to all of us our rights as men, without injustice to any and Whereas, we daily feel from the want of employment and thogeneral stagnation in business the urgent necessity of the speedy action of Congross on measures of relief for the people by the enactment of laws that will give assurance and a guarantee of safety to the capitalist, by tho enactment of such laws as will give assurance of permanence, and a safe basis of calculation and reliance, therefore 1. Resolved, That wo cordially invito all who are politically opposed to us to meet with us in our ward meetings, and fully and freely discuss the issues of the day and the necessities of tho times, believing that such a course would prove beneficial to all concerned and tend to restoro that harmony of feeling and community of interests so desirable to all. 2.

That we earnestly pray the Congross of the United Stites, at the earliest day practicable, to enact such laws as they, in their wisdom, may deem proper, relative to the questions of currency, internal revenue and the tariff, in order that confidence may be restored, and capital seek investment, instead of being horded, thereby developing the dormant resources of tlie country, giving employment to labor, and adding to tho wealth of the nation.
