Theresa Erickson M0BRIDGE, S.D. Theresa Erickson, 89, Mobridge, died Oct. 30, 1995, in the Mobridge, S.D., hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Mobridge, with the Rev.

Douglas E. Haskins officiating. Burial will be in Mobridge Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Theresa was born March 7, 1906, in Austria. She came to the United States by boat in 1912. The family moved to St. Paul, where they lived until 1914. They then moved to a farm north of Scranton.

She tended the Buena Vista School. She married Henry Erickson in 1928. They moved to Mobridge, S.D. She was an avid bowler, a member of TOPS and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by one brother, Lawrence Leitgeb, Bowman; and a half-brother, Ed Freitag, Bowman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one half-brother. (Myers Funeral Home, Linton) Matt Zahn LINTON Matt J. Zahn, 80, Linton, died Oct. 29, 1995, in the Linton hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, with burial in the church cemetery. (Everson Funeral Home, Wil-liston) CAROLINE 66, Mandan, 10 a.m., Boelter Funeral Home, Bismarck. DeWaine Melvin Backman, 55, Eufaula, died Sept. 24, 1995, at his home after a long illness with cancer. He was born in Bismarck on Feb. 6, 1940, to Melvin and Eunice (Davis) Backman.

After his father's death in 1951, he went to live in Mooseheart, 111., where he grew up with the rest of his family. DeWaine lived with his uncle, Wil-lard Backman, and family for a time and attended high school in Regan. He spent three years in the U.S. Army, being stationed in Japan part of the time. He worked for many years for Pascoe Building Systems in Eufaula.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, DeWaine Melvin II and Jerry, both of Eufaula; two grandchildren, DeWaine Melvin III and Melissa, both of Eufaula; his mother, Eunice Foltz, Aurora, three sisters, his twin sister, DeLaine Pappas, Prospect Heights, 111., JoAnne Ramsey, Commerce City, and YVonne Backman, Oakland, and three brothers, Dennis, Denver, Kenny, Fairmount, and Blaine, Rockford, several nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Edith Kissinger, Bismarck. Funeral services and burial were in Eufaula. Oiga Rustan NEW ENGLAND Olga A. Rustan, 85, New England, died Oct. 27, 1995, in a Dickinson nursing home.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, New England, with burial in Rainy Butte Lutheran Cemetery, rural New England. She is survived by one daughter, Marlene Berres, Lewistown, Mont. two sons, Lyle, New England, and Galen, West Des Moines, Iowa; and two sisters, Clara Hammer and Esther Schorsch, both of Seattle. Erickson, 79, New England, died Oct. 28, 1995, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Thursday at Our Redeemers Lutheran Church, New England, with burial in Rainy Butte Lutheran Cemetery, rural New England. He is survived by four sisters, Fern Belland, New England, Clara Bayman, Warden, Hazel Erickson, Dickinson, and Stella Hughes, Clarkston, Wash.

(Price-Gaffaney Funeral Home, Dickinson) Louise Theige HARVEY Louise Theige, 89, Harvey, died Oct. 29, 1995, in the Harvey nursing home. Arrangements are pending at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Hensel Hendrickson officiating.

Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. today and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at Eastgate Funeral Service, and will continue at the church one hour before services. Richard Claude Roe was born May 30, 1927 at Fairmont, the son of Harold and Nellie (Gibson) Roe.

He was raised and educated in Winnebago and Fairmont. Dick served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He met and married Julie Olson in 1956 in Minneapolis. Dick worked for the RR Howell Co. for a short time.

In 1954 he began working for Globe Inc. in Minneapolis, transferring to Bismarck in 1963 as branch manager. Dick enjoyed his work with the people in the plumbing industry and retired from Globe in 1991. He worked for Northstar Valves as a sales representative until March 1995. Dick was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He was an associate member of the National Association of Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors (NAPHC), and a member of Bismarck Elks, American Legion and the Wednesday Morning Retirees breakfast. He is survived by his wife, Julie; two sons, Steven, Bismarck, and Thomas, Dickinson; one daughter, Susan, Bismarck; his mother, Nellie Roe, New Ulm, one sister, Margaret Jacobson, Blue Earth, and two brothers, Noel, Garfield, and Donald, Hanska, Minn. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Roe. Dick was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved the outdoors and his many friends.

He will be greatly missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or ALS Research. at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Church of Corpus Christi, Bismarck, with the Rev. Steve Zastoupil officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at Boelter Funeral Home, where a vigil and rosary will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Julie was born Aug. 24, 1949, at Linton, the daughter of Pius Sr. and Mary (Hulm) Lacher. She was raised and educated in Zeeland, where she graduated from high school in 1967. She moved to Bismarck and worked for Murphy Insurance Co.

She married Francis Ziegler, May 31, 1969, at Zeeland. They lived in Fargo and she worked at Guarantee Mutual Life until they returned to Bismarck in 1978. Julie worked at Bismarck Public Library and was a volunteer at Ronald McDonald House. She enjoyed golf, tennis and bowling, and was very active with the Bismarck Gymnastics Academy program. She is survived by her husband, Francis; one daughter, Nicole; one son, Mark, both attending NDSU in Fargo; her parents, Pius Sr.

and Mary Lacher, Zeeland; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Marian and Bill Constenius, Maplewood, Brenda and John Moss, Holland, Ohio, Beverly and Jerry Klym, Omaha, Rhonda and George Leingang, Solen, and Michele and Robert Miller, Richfield, five brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Marilyn, Moorhead, Gerald and Lila, Lebanon, S.D., Harold and Clara, Richland, Pius Jr. and Gloria, Zee-land, and Allan and Judy, Bismarck; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Barbara Ziegler, Zeeland; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ray and Loretta Feist, Minneapolis, Jane and Joe Wolf, Bismarck, Leo and Karen Ziegler, Zeeland. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Ronald McDonald House or Bismarck Gymnastics Academy.
