WILLISTON Scofield Broadcasting Williston, celebrated its 30th anniversary on the air with an open house Friday. According to officials, the' company employs about 40 people at its two radio stations, KEYZ-AM, started in 1951, and KYYZ-FM, started in 1979, and Community Service Television, begun in 1967. They estimate their employees have won more than 300 local, area and national awards.

The company is owned by Charles Scofield, a Powder River County, native, who started the company in 1951. Scofield also owned a radio station in Glasgow, for a time. Favorite Jelly Beans Back in Stock Mike Parsons reports that President Ronald Reagan's favorite jelly beans Jelly Belly are back in stock at Fudge and Fantasy, Gateway Mall, Bismarck, for the first time since the store ran out last spring. Collins is the only original owner left from a group of Mandan businessmen who founded the department store in late 1962. He came directors on the Piper company boards, who were not defendants, decided to avoid the legal expense and uncertainty that would result from drawn-out litigation. A Minnesota district court jury in July ordered the company to pay $1.1 million to certain plaintiff class members, plus $2.4 million for attorney's fees and expenses, to the former shareholders. The shareholders charged that they had suffered losses selling stock of Piper, Jaffray Hopwood Inc. back to the company.

They had sued both Piper companies, the trust, the trustees and some present and former directors. The company has a brokerage office in Bismarck. started backing up at the manufacturer, Goelitz Confectionery Co. of Oakland, and Chicago. At last notice, he says, Goelitz was 56 weeks behind in shipments and he expects his next shipment In February.

State Bank Moves Student Loan Office FARGO Dale Kuntz, Fargo, as been promoted to audit manager in the Moorhead, office of the accounting firm of Eide, Helmeke, Boelz and Pasch.
