There was no quotable change In cattle prices, hogs ruled 6c lower, sheep were and lambs 10c higher. 'Receipts the first two days of the week, compared with a week ago, decreased 1.700. cattle, increased 19.400 hogs, and decreased 3,700 sheep. A good many cars were diverted to other markets and the market here relieved. Vegetable were offered sparingly. Recent frosts In the South have curtailed supplies and very few are arriving. Chrlatmas decorations are receiving Increased attention. Offerings are enlarging and prices on holly have declined.

Poultry met a ready sale, and turkeys brought 1c advance, aa arrivala have decreased. The annual election of the Chicago butter and egg- board will be held the Brat Tuesday after the first Monday In January.
