Thompson to Harold Howard for $54,000. Edward B. Butler has purchased from Shepard Brooks of West Medford. the property at 500 to 510 South State, new numbers, for $360,000 cash. The property Is located opposite CongrYss street, with an east frontage of 75 feet and a depth of 101 feet.

It is Improved with a four story brick building under lease to Rudolph Wosallck for a term expiring July SI. 1923, on a net basis at a graded rental. The building was not considered in this transaction, so that the purchase price representw a front foot valuation of The sale was negotiated by Mr. Arnold of Frauk S. Pagin the Brooks estate being represented by Aldis at Co.

Francis E. Mamerre of Dibblee A Manierre acted in au advisory capacity for Mr. Butler and w-ill have charge of the property. This sale is of more than ordinary Interest because of I he principals engaged. The Brooks estate and Edward B.

Butler are both large owners of valuable Chicago business property and the latter has been constantly adding to his holdings. and S. T. Rtraus from Edward B. Butler. The rental is on an ascending scale, beginning with $3,500 a year for the first lea years and ending with $5,500 a year for the last sixty-nine years, with an annual average of $5,020 for the term.

The lot has a frontage of 152 feet on Michigan boulevard and 145 feet on Thirty-Fifth street and Is to be improved with an attractive two story mercantile building, containing fourteen stores and a number of offices, which will cover the entire frontage on both streets.
