MENOMONIE 'Special i NEWS Mrs. Joseph Spehle, 48, Rt. 5, Town of Brunswick, died Three Minnesotans were in- jured Sunday night. when the car in which they were naing struck the end of a guardrail on 1-94 three-tenths of a mile west of the Dunn-St. Croix County line.

THE HOLIDAY weekend death count began at 6 p.m. Wednesday and ended at mid night Sunday.

Harold Holloway, 43, of ru ral Yuba, was fatally injured Sunday when his automobile veered out of control on High way 80 and crashed near Hub City in Richland County. Richard Stevens, 36, Rome, N.Y., died In a hospital at Madison Sunday of injuries he suffered Saturday when his car overturned on a street in Madison. Glenn F. Jarantowski, 19 Milwaukee, was killed late Saturday when his automo bile crashed on Milwaukee's South Side. Wilbur Henning, 51, Joliet, 111., was killed Friday when the car in which he was riding left Highway 51 about eight miles south of Stevens Point and rolled over in a ditch.

Henning' two sons, Richard, 20, and Herman, 25, were injured. Leonard Courier, 35, Mus- kego, a father of seven chil- dren, died Friday when his car and another vehicle collided on the South Side of Milwaukee. His wife died three weeks ago. Bertram J. Taylor, 47, of the Milwaukee suburb of St.

Francis, was killed early Saturday when his automo bile struck a concrete railroad bridge support near his home. William Kaulbach Dies at Hospital William J. Kaulbach, 78, of 809 Sixth died at Luther Hospital Sunday. He is survived by his wife, Clelia; four sisters, Mrs. F.

Gradler, Wilmette, 111., Mrs. Kitty Echardt, Chicago, Mrs. Ida Tumler, Chicago, Mrs. Marie Ludlow, Lawrenceburg, ind. two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mr. Kaulbach came to Fau Claire 30 years ago as a sales-1 man for the Quality Biscuit Co. Later he was manager of the Gillette service He was a salesman for the! Schumacher Motor Express for seven years. He was treasurer of the United Commercial Travelers and secretary of the organization for 35 years. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 112, the Eau Claire Consistory and the Exchange Club.

Funeral services will be at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Chapel with Dr. Charles Melcher officiating. Burial will be In Lake View cemetery. Graveside services will be conducted byj the Masonic Lodge.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 2 p.m. Tuesday and Tuesday evening and on Wednesday prior to services. E. K. Wahlmark Dies Elmer K.

(AP) The Rev. Lawrence Dudink, 47, of Superior, remained In jail here today awaiting extradition action by Wisconsin authorities on a charge of kidnaping a 17 year old girl. Father Dudink, a Roman Catholic priest, was arrested by FBI agents Friday on a charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. He has! waived extradition and is held In lieu of $5,000 bond. Bovle, chief of the Arizona office of the FBI, said he has received no information from Wisconsin officials as to when they will arrive in Phoenix. THE PRIEST was arrested at a Phoenix motel with Rosalie Ann O'Connell of Gilbert, the girl he is accused of kidnaping by deceit from St. Mary's Hospital at Superior Nov. 8. The girl was unharmed when found with Father Dudink and was turned over to juvenile authorities.

Officials at juvenile detention home refused to say whether the girl's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad O'Connell, had arrived by auto to visit their daughter a planned. Weeks, 29, of 602V4 Oxford pleaded guilty in county court today to a charge of abandoning four animals when he moved from farm near Augusta to Eau Claire about Nov. 18.

He was fined $25 and costs with an alternative five days in jail. County Investigator Roger R. Hahn told the court he investigated a complaint and found Weeks had left three dogs and a cat at the farm when he moved. The animals were maddened from hunger, Hahn said, and were destroyed. There was no evidence the animals had food or water for at least a week.

Judge Connor T. Hansen told Weeks he could have been charged on four separate charges. He said there was no excuse for such actions and that Weeks could have called the sheriffs depart-i ment to destroy the animals if he didn't want to do so him-1 self.
