10 GROSSCUP RESIGNS? CALHOUN FOR BENCH? THE INTER OCEAN, WEDNESDAY MORNING, JANUARY 27, 1909. 10 CORONER TO HEAR WITNESSES OF RECENT CRIB DISASTER Probably a Dozen Will Tell Their Own Theories of Cause of Fire Which Took Mans Liven. Witnesses have been subpoenaed to appear before a coroner's jury that will hear testimory in the lake crib fire case at 2.0 o'clock this afterroon in room 1124 of the county he building. Coroner Hoffman sesterday would try the testimony of a dozen witnesses. Cotoner Hoffman, Assistant Chief of Police Schufttler, State's Attorney Wayman, Deputy- Coroner Kennedy and Detective Seriveror spent most of yesterday in the coroner's office listening to statements of persons who were rescued from the fire.

These John Bramlett, driller and Charles Rose, electrician; Henry Lee Franklin, driller and shot-firer; Frank Pryor. The only new testimony that was received was from John Bramlett, who said that he heard an explosion, to which he attributed the origin of the fire. This is contrary to the statements of all the other witnesses Interviewed thus far, according to Coroner Hoff-. man. WEATHER INDICATIONS.
