Miss Judith Osterberger, Larry Rizner Wed MRS. LARRY A. RIZNER Photo Rites Solemnized On June 19 Arrangements of white snapdragons decorated the altar of Salem United Church of Christ, near Eleroy, for the wedding of Miss Judith Ann Osterberger and Larry A. Rizner. The bride is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Herbert Osterberger of Lena, and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Milford C. Rizner, 931 S. Arcade and the late Mr.

Rizner. The couple exchanged nuptial vows on Saturday afternoon, June 19, at 2 o'clock. Officiating clergyman at the double-ring service was Rev. Robert Marquardt. Nuptial Music Wedding selections were played at the organ by Mrs.

Karl Woessner of Shannon. Pews were marked with green bows. A gown of Chantilly lace and satin, fashioned on Empire lines, was worn by the bride. The fitted bodice had a scalloped Sabrina neckline and long tapered sleeves. A chapel-length train, fastened with a bow at the waist, accented the slim pencil line skirt.

The bride's English silk il lusion veil was secured by a crown of seed pearls and crystals, and she carried a cascade of Calla lilies, stephanotis and ivy, centered with an orchid. Carry Crescents Of Flowers Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Berdine Kipp of Annawan, and the bridesmaid was Mrs. Robert Gale, sister of the bridegroom. Their street-length jacket dresses were of green and silver brocade, and they carried crescents of Calla lilies, stephanotis and ivy. Hats, with matching bows of the dress fabric completed their ensembles.

Attired in a peau de soie gown, Miss Ruth Ann Knechel, South Bend, became the bride of Robert C. Johansen, Ridott, in a 4 p.m. wedding on June 19 in South Bend. Rev. Foster B.

Statler of Mount Morris and the bride's father, Rev. Robert Knechel, performed the double-ring ceremony before an altar centerpiece of driftwood, ivy, daisies and candles. Miss Marjorie Parks with organist and J. Bentley Peters of Chicago, was soloist at the service in Crest Manor Church of the Brethren. Bateau Neckline The bride's gown was styled with a fitted bodice, bateau neckline and sleeves, which were highb'ghted by a deep band of re-embroidered Alencon lace, giving a tiered effect.

The domed skirt was accented by a hemline of lace. It had a chapel train. Her tiered open pillbox crown had rows of lace re-embroidered with pearls. It secured her bouffant silk illusion veil. White phalaenopsis orchids and stephanotis formed the bridal bouquet.

The bride is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Robert Knechel of South Bend, Ind. Yellow Polished Cotton Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Becky Uhrig, South Bend, and as bridesmaids, Mrs. Richard Hammer, Cleveland, Ohio, and Miss Terri Kercher, South Bend.

They were attired in yellow gowns of polished cotton. Circlets of daisies and ivy formed their headpieces. Baskets of daisies were carried. Miss Sharon Knechel was flower girl. Dr.

C. Emmert Johansen of Chicago was best man. Gary Porter, Washington, D.C., and Douglas Firebaugh were groomsmen. Ushering were William Harshbarger, Ithaca N.Y., and Bob Knechel. A reception was held in the church social room following the wedding.

Serving were the Mmes. Ned Parrett, Bryan, Tex. Paul Johansen, Bentley Peters, hicago; and Edison Snyder, South Bend. Also assisting were Miss Marilyn Kettering, Oberlin, Ohio, and Miss Nancy Weimer, South Bend. Manchester College The bride was graduated from a South Bend High School and Manchester College in Manches ter with an English major.

She taught junior high school English in Oberlin, Ohio. Her husband was graduated from Freeport High School and Manchester College. He is completing a Ph.D. at Columbia University in New York City. Following a honeymoon trip to Northern Wisconsin, the couple will live in New York City.

The flower girl, Christine Pellett of Atlantic, Iowa, was attired in a white dacron and cotton frock, with sash and head- bow of the same fabric as the attendants' dresses. Todd Pellett of Atlantic, Iowa carried the rings. Attend Bridegroom Richard Rundall of Morton was the bridegroom's best man while James Rundall, also Morton, served as groomsman The ushers were Jere Ryckman Freeport, and Drew Pellett Atlantic, Iowa. Guests were received after the ceremony in the church par lors. Bride and bridesmaid dolls wearing crocheted dresses mad by the bride's grandmother formed the decoration on the ride's table.

Also Heart-Shaped Cakes The tiered wedding cake, ipped with bride and groom gurines, formed the center- iece on the serving table. It as trimmed in green and white, olors of the bride. Two heart- tiaped cakes, on each side of tiered cake, were tied with ibbon streamers. English ivy railed around the cake, accent- here and there with pom- ons. Reception hosts were Mr.

Al Thede, Charles anicke, Theron Gahm, Lester Goethe, James Gassman, Irvin Jhe and Gertrude Cooke. Minnesota, Canada Trip Mr.

and Mrs. Rizner left on a wedding trip through Northern Minnesota and Canada. Upon their return, they will be at home at 206Vz N. Thomas St. Polo, where the bride will be eaching home economics in the Polo schools this fall.

She is a graduate of Lena-Winslow High school and Iowa State Univer- at Ames, Iowa. Mr. Rizner is employed by Freeport Journal-Standard and is a graduate of Freeport High School. Married In Des Moines Nuptial vows were exchangee on June 19 by Miss Patricia ayle Gettys, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Donald V.

Gettys Des Moines, Iowa, and Rober amuel Schroeder, son of Mr and Mrs. Robert H. Schroeder Chicago, formerly of Freeport. The ceremony took place in St. John's Lutheran Church in Des Moines.

The bride, an alumna of low; State University at Ames, did graduate work at the University of Washington in Seattle anc will be a research assistant a Indiana University in Blooming ton. The bridegroom attended Northern Illinois University at DeKalb and is also a graduate of Iowa State. He is a Ph.D. candidate at Indiana University and is a National Aeronautics and Space Administration research fellow. The marriage of Miss Warna Noreen Zinn, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Howard Garrison of Savanna, and Stanley Helle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Helle, also of Savanna, took place at the Helle home in Savanna on Sunday afternoon, June 20, at 5 o'clock. A reception followed at the Helle home for a number of relatives and guests.

The newlyweds left on a wedding trip, which will. include West Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. Helle will make their home in Savanna, where the bridegroom is employed as a bookkeeper by Wood Products, Inc.

Rev. John Regan celebrated the Nuptial Mass at an altar decorated with tall gold vases and white gladioli. Organ music was by Mrs. William Bushelle, and Kenneth Downing was soloist. Parents of the bride are Mr.

and Mrs. Robert Eugene May, 916 E. Empire and Mr. and Mrs. Carl J.

Ganshert, 835 S. Oak Ave. are parents of the bridegroom. A sheath gown of silk organza over summer weight peau de "die was worn by the bride. Aunt Made Gowns Appliquecl re embroidered Alencon lace, accented with tiny seed pearls, adorned the entire front of the dress and was also carried out along the removable cathedral length train, which was later gathered into a floor- length butterfly bustle.

Her open crown pillbox of lace and seed pearls held a short bouffant bubble veil of French silk illusion. The bride carried a cascade of Album lilies and red Sweetheart roses. The bride's aunt, Mrs. Arthur L. Cramer, designed and made the dresses of the bride and the attendants.

Semi-sheath gowns of mint green moss crepe were worn by maid of honor, Miss Cynthi Ganshert, sister of the bride groom; the bridesmaids, Mrs Kenneth Buck, Mrs. Roger Gahm of Pearl City, and Mrs Terry Gorman; and the flower girl, Mary Margaret Boekhold er. Velvet Sashes The gowns had scooped neck lines, fitted bodices, shor sleeves and matching velve ribbon sashes at the waist Mint green nylon maline hal hats, with matching velve bows, completed their ensem bles. Cascades of white glamellia were carried by the attendants Mary Margaret carried a bas ket of red rose petals. Thomas May, brother of the bride, was best man.

Serving a groomsmen were Chuck Gastel Louis Hartlieb of DeKalb am Philip Ganshert, brother of th bridegroom. Ringbearer was Jay Gansherl brother of the bridegroom. Jack Nichol and Harold Ganshert South Wayne, seated th guests. Buffet Luncheon A reception in St. Mary' School Hall followed the wed ding.

Keim, nee Beverly roff, daughter of Mr. and Ars. Olaf Groff of Thornton, and the son of Mr. and Ars. Edwin Keim were mar- ied Saturday afternoon, June 9, in the Mount Carroll Methodist Church.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a gown of white silk peau de soie and Alencon lace, fashioned with a chapel- length train. A small white headpiece secured her fingertip veil of illusion. She carried a bouquet of white roses and ivy.

Mrs. Rodney Fetterolf served as matron of honor. She wore a mint green gown of silk organza and carried a bouquet of yellow roses and ivy. A short white nylon organza dress, trimmed with a mint green ribbon sash, was worn jy the flower girl, Christine King. Her tiny bouquet consisted of miniature yellow roses with ivy.

Both College Graduates Herbert Sisler of Rockford was best man. The ushers were Leonard Groff, Thornton, Ted Colehour, Mount Carroll, Roland Pettit, Platteville, and Walter Hartman, Rockford. A graduate of Northern Illinois University, the bride is currently teaching home economics at Mount Carroll High School. Mr. Keim is employed by the Beeline Service Station.

He is a graduate of the University of Illinois. MRS. DONALD KEIM Photo bowl were skirted with white organdy. The serving table was skirted with white organdy and turquoise net and held a silver bowl with a floral arrangement of white stock, Album lilies and red Sweetheart roses. The bouquets of the bride and attendants decorated the bridal table which was skirted with white organdy.

Reception assistants were Mmes. Larry Kerchner of Ridott, Tony Guiffre, Shelley Cary of Oshkosh, William Brooks, William Boekholder, Martin Krogull, Barney Doll, William Carroll, James Lavelle, Kenneth Downing, Miss Genene Busker and Miss Rebecca Krogull. Mr. and Mrs. Ganshert were both graduated in 1960 from Aquin Central Catholic High School.

Mrs. Ganshert worked in the tabulation department at Crum Forster. Mr. Ganshert attended Northern Illinois University at DeKalb for one year. He was graduated and commissioned from the United States Military Academy at West Point in June.
