Douglas kept the Razorbacks off balance much of the game and never made a mistake on' The Citadel's end of the field. He wound up with 26 carries for 82 yards and completed five of seven passes for 58. His production helped the Bulldogs control the ball almost 18 minutes in the first half.

Arkansas unveiled its new one-back offense, but most of the Razorbacks' success came on the running of Jackson, who wound up with 29 carries for 167 yards. By HARRY KING AP Sports Writer FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Defensive end Judson Boehmer returned a fumble 34 yards for a touchdown and Detric Cummings intercepted a deflected pass to stop a promising drive as The Citadel upset Arkansas 10-3 on Saturday. The Division I-AA Bulldogs were down 3-0 when E.D. Jackson, on his 24th carry of the game, was hit by Garrett Sizer and fumbled.

Boehmer picked up the ball and scored untouched, hugging the ball with both arms during the final 20 yards. The Division I Razorbacks reached midfield in three plays and Jason Allen threw for Tony Jeffery. The ball bounced off Jef-fery and into the arms of Cummings who returned it 24 yards to the Arkansas 37. Eight plays later, Jeff Trinh kicked a 25-yard field goal that made it 10-3 with 3:28 to play. The victory was the Bulldogs' fifth in their last six games against Division I opponents since 1988.

Boehmer's fumble recovery helped the Bulldogs survive what could have been a demoralizing sequence. Todd Wright's 25-yard field goal ended a 68-yard drive and put Arkansas on top 3-0. Then, Cummings misplayed the kickoff. He caught it in the end zone, came out, started to retreat and wound up at the 6. Jack Douglas, the most prolific rushing quarterback in I-AA history, got them out of the hole with a 23-yard pass down the middle to Marty Fagan.
