Stricken Record Mandmark Bureau MOORESVILLE Miss Susie Bush age 67 a resident of Cornelius died Monday at Low rance Hospital Mooresville following a brief illness Miss Bush was born Jan 6 1905 in airfield County and was a daughter of the late Maggie Ashley Bush and Henry Bush She was a member of the Torrence Chapel AME Zion Church Surviving are an adopted son Adam Mobley of Bliss Tex one sister Mrs Eunice Kinsler of Cornelius and five grand children Services are scheduled for 4 pm riday at Torrence Chapel AME Zion Church in Cornelius Interment will follow in the church cemetery Rev early Wednes day morning at Huntersville Hospital in Huntersville follow ing a lengthy illness A native of Stony Point Mr Hunter was born Jan 18 1912 He was the son of the late Jason and Lizzie Clodfelter Hunter He was a retired employe of Sears Roebuck in Charlotte and lived at 4619 Wateroak Road Mr Hunter is survived by his wife the former Della Jackson of Mooresville two brothers James Hunter of Stony Point and Luther Hunter of States ville and two sisters Mrs Paul Rae of Charlotte and Mrs Howard Steele of Cleveland uneral services will be held 11 am riday at Sardis Presbyterian Church in Char lotte followed by a graveside service and burial at 1 pm at Prospect Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mooresville The family will receive friends from 7 9 pm Thursday at the Hunter residence on Wateroak Road The body will remain at Harry Bryant uneral Home in Charlotte until the funeral hour Sign Book Presented Girl Scout troops of the South Iredell Neighborhood presented a sign and a book titled lowers of North to Camp Ginger Cascades on Saturday The sign was erected to help preserve the wild flowers and plants of Camp Ginger Cas cades which is the Catawba Valley Girl Scout Camp The sign asks that people please leave the flowers and plants in their natural surroundings be cause the camp is endowed with a wide variety of beautiful flowers and plants The sign was made by Cadette Troop 119 and Senior Troop 284 The girls most re sponsible for the wood burning are Tina Brown and Sandra ulbright Consulting the girls on the work were Mrs Thomas Hoke Junior leader of Troop 152 and Mrs Clinton ulbright Cadette leader of Troop 119 The book will be presented to the camp to be placed in the permanent library Its purpose is to help campers identify the different kinds of plants and flowers that grow in North Carolina South Iredell Neighborhood is a part of the Catawba Valley Girl Scout Council and it serves the southern part of Iredell County It has 15 Girl Scout Troops and serves a total of 267 girls It covers four school dis tricts which are Troutman Amity Celeste Henkel and Sharon Mrs Barr Succumbs Mrs Corrine Williams Barr 82 503 Stockton St died at 4 Wednesday afternoon at Iredell Memorial Hospital She had been in declining health for five years and critically ill for one week Mrs Barr was born June 14 1890 at St Louis Mo and was a daughter of the late William and Nora Carney Williams She was a graduate of the Denver Colo high schools and Denver Oppor tunity College She was a secre tary and served in this capacity for the Garland Country Day
