Heavy downpours deluged Southeast Nebraska, causing flash flooding. A tornado touched down near Eufaula, but no injuries or damage were reported. Twisters also were sighted near Killen, 'Kingville, and Salina, Kan. Several highways were reported closed in Nebraska, where flash floods, fed by heavy downpours, were occurring.

Five and a half inches of rain swamped Greenwood, in five hours. More than three inches of rain fell in 45 minutes between Elmwood and Murdock, Neb. Lincoln, had nearly three inches of rain.
