Reeves dashed eight yards through a crowd Saturday night to give Tennessee-Chattanooga a 21-14 Southern Conference football victory over the Citadel. Furman scored in the first quarter when Kent Woerner ran two yards for the touchdown. The score came after a drive of 163 yards in 10 plays. Woerner led Furman with 112 yards on 20 carries.

With four seconds to go in the first half Bobby Behr kicked a 20-yard field goal to give Furman a 10-0 lead at half-time. The score climaxed a drive of 64 yards and 12 plays. Furman added to its lead with 1 50 left in the third quarter when Behr connected on a 35-yarder. Furman had driven to the PC 1-yard line, but two clipping penalties moved the Paladins back to the 25. Coach Art Baker said this was the penalties were the key to the game.

The other time was on a long drive that ended on the USC 18 where reserve fullback Timmy Johnson fumbled. Bass completed just one of 10 passes for 11 yards, with three interceptions. State quarterback Johnny Evans completed four of 11 passes for 46 yards. touchdown. Kenny King, Oklahoma's injury-plagued fullback, zipped 29 yards on the Sooners' sixth play for the first touchdown with 11 minutes, 18 seconds left in the first quarter.

(AP) Derrick Ramsey ran for two touchdowns and passed 45 yards to Felix Wilson for another score Saturday night as seventh-ranked Kentucky ripped Virginia Tech 32-0 in a college football game. Kentucky, 7-1, took control of the game when a Virginia Tech scoring opportunity went awry midway through the second period. Kentucky's Mike Siganos returned Paul Engle's 62-yard field goal attempt to VPI's 45, and on the next play Ramsey launched the touchdown bomb to Wilson for a 10-0 halftime lead. The Cats blew the game open during a five-minute stretch late in the third period.

Ramsey scored on runs of 22 and three yards, giving Kentucky a 22-0 lead and clearing the way for a flood of reserves in the fourth period. Patriots' Hedrick Leads El on Past Gardner- Webb CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) Senior tailback Darrell Lipford ran for three touchdowns and Western Carolina came up with 27 points in the fourth quarter to break open a narrow contest and take a 41-6 victory over Wofford College Saturday. Lipford's first two scores gave the Catamounts a 14-6 lead going into the final quarter. The Catamounts compiled 421 yards total offense in raising their record to 4-4-1.

Wofford dropped its second in a to put its record at 4-3-1. Western Carolina quarterback Mike Pusey completed 16 of 28 passes for 206 yards to lead the Catamounts in offense. Senior receiver Wayne Tolleson, the nation's leading pass receiver, caught seven passes for 97 yards. Tolleson now has 57 catches for 913 yards in the Catamounts' eight games. Lipford's three touchdowns gave him 13 scoring runs this season to equal a school record, while his 74 yards rushing gave him a season total of 1,032.
