Zimmerman is a 1978 graduate of Bowman High School and a recent graduate of South Carolina State College where he received a bachelor's degree in music education. He is employed by Red and White of Orangeburg. The wedding is planned for Aug. 6 at St.

Michael United Methodist Church in Bowman. Harlan of Augusta, Deborah Harvin of Columbia; and Kathyrn Lou Taylor of Orangeburg. Robert Spencer Clary of Columbia, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Hubert Lamar Shuler III of Charlotte, N.C., brother of the bride; Edwin Tillotson Shuler of Charlotte, N.C., brother of the bride; Charles Clifford Berry of Orangeburg; James Richard Clary of Spartanburg, cousin of the groom; Ronald Parker Dempsey of Orangeburg; David Lee Morris of Summerville; and Scott Everett Turnage of Spartanburg. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Country Club of Orangeburg.

After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Germantown, Md. The bride attended Columbia College and Converse College. The groom attended the University of South Carolina and Clemson University where he received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He is employed with Bechtel Corp. in Gaitherburg, Md.

Sara Lynn Shuler and Carl Douglas Clary Jr. were united in marriage at noon June 18 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Hubert Lamar Shuler Jr. of Orangeburg. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. lone Roddey Tillotson and the late William Edwin Tillotson of Hartsville and Mrs. Eloise Hipp Shuler and the late Hubert Lamar Shuler of Orangeburg.

The groom is the son of the' Rev. and Mrs. Carl Douglas Clary of Spartanburg. He is the grandson of Mrs. Robert Spencer Owens and the late Mr.

Owens of Clinton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Barney Clanton Clary of Gaffney. The Rev. Carl Douglas Clary, father of the groom, officiated at the marriage ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Mrs. Hubert Lamar Shuler III of Charlotte, N.C., sister-in-law of the bride, as matron of honor.
