Their near-immediate success reshaped the destiny of the already successful Jimmy Dorsey orchestra.

Instead of being considered a hotel-type group that played a lot of sweet, danceable music, it suddenly became identified through its two singers. Today, 32 years later, Helen still is identified with the late Jimmy Dorsey. When she and Eberly occasionally appear on the same bandstand, those in the audience in the post-60 bracket reminisce to the pre-World War days when the three teamed on some of the all- time hit records.
