1 4. BAND BOOSTER The Naples Area Chamber of Commerce gives $500 to the Naples High band to send band members to Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington next spring. Jerome Edwards, band leader, accepts check from Walter Rogers, Chamber president. (Norman photo) Circuit Court Robert M. Ralston, 20, was sentenced to serve eight years in prison Tuesday morning by Judge Lynn Gerald in Circuit Court for violating the terms of his probation, granted originally on a burglary charge.

Probation for a period of two years was granted Virgil Childs, 26, for escape. Also given probation for two years on charges of breaking and entering an auto were Frederick L. Walker, 18, Larry Miller, 17, and Fred Commodore, also known as Whitaker, 18. Miller's probation was conditioned on his spending 30 days in jail first. Probation was also granted Beryle Lester Brumfield, 65, on a concealed weapon charge for a period of two years.

Probation granted Juan Soto, 22, who had been charged with violation was ordered extended for one year. Otis Kendrick was placed on probation for one year for depriving his children of necessities. A presentence investigation was ordered for Joseph J. Bellows, COMMERCE 52, for attempted larceny of an auto. The following cases were continued until later dates: Paul H.

Jackson, 41, making false statement for title; Andrew L. Smith, 52, violation of probation; Jimmy Edwards, auto theft; Willie Davis, breaking and entering; Devroe Decroenn, aggravated assault; Ronnie Cody, grand larceny. Direct Mail Service Opens On First Ave. A direct-mail advertising business has been opened at 852 First Ave. (Suit 208) by Earle Buckley of Naples.

Buckley for 45 years headed his own advertising agency in Philadelphia. He is author of several McGraw-Hill books on International Correspondence School's textbook on direct mail advertising. During the last world war, Buckley gave a course in business letter-writing for the U. S. Treasury Department.

Death Notices Death Fred R. Fast Fred R. Fast, 63, died last night at his home, 1839 Hurricane Harbor Lane. He had been a Naples resident for four years, coming from Essex Fells, N. J.

He was a retired insurance executive. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Jane Fast of Naples; two sons, Jonathan Fast, East Orange, N. Jeffrey Fast, San Francisco, a daughter, Mrs. Sandra Patterson, Cleveland Heights, Ohio: a sister, Mrs.

Henry Prince, Little Falls, N. J. and one grandchild. Funeral arrangements are being made at the Earl G. Hodges Funeral Chapel.

Ralph Allen Ralph Allen, 54, of 1161 Four Winds Marco, died early this morning in Naples Community Hospital. He had moved to Marco in May, 1970, but made his summer home at Hamburg, Mich. He was the retired owner of A Manufacturing Company, and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Cornelie Allen; two daughters, Mrs.

Joyce Irene Browe, Detroit, and Mrs. Sharon Ann Wallace, Whitmore Lake, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Allen, Wayne, five brothers, three sisters, and four grandchildren. Noon Stocks 1634.

The bidding shall be on the basis of a cash consideration for the lease, the amount of which cash consideration shall include offer of rental for the first year at the rate stated above. Roop, 744 Wedge Tuesday morning when he found a garden hose sticking out of the gas tank of his car with a twogallon can nearby. Police are investigating an attempted break-in of a United Telephone System pay phone at 12th Avenue N. and Ninth Street where a wheel-puller apparently was used in a fruitless attempt to open the coin box.
