Saunders, Imperial Recorder of the Shrine, will be honored by more than 3,000 members of Aahmes Temple at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Oakland Auditorium. Saunders, who is also secretary of the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, will fly out from Chicago for the annual ceremonial. For 18 Oakland area high school artists, their efforts in behalf of the Red Cross' International School Art Program could win worldwide recognition. They were selected winners from among more than 200 in the area. If winners in Pacific Area screenings, their works will be sent to Red Cross societies in other parts of the world, said Arthur Larson, vice chairman of the High School Red Cross for the Oakland Chapter.

Presenting the artists with special certificates was Stanley H. Cohen, director of art for the Oakland Public Schools. Students honored were Judy Anderson, Peter Bassett, Ron Lederer, Nora Lehman and Donald Rowland, all of Oakland High; Harriett Alien and r.f.
