Tuesday, April 29, 1997 the Journal Times OBITUARIES Jack D. Kammien RACINE Jack D. Kammien, 65, passed away at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee on Sunday, April 27, 1997. Jack was born in Racine, June 11, 1931, son of the late Oscar L. and Ethel H.

(nee: Cichanofsky) Kammien and was a lifelong Racine resident. He was united in marriage to Esther C. Mandli on April 1, 1950. He was a member of Sheet Metal Worker's Local 18, retiring in 1993, and was the Past President of Sheet Metal Worker's Local 18. Survivors include his wife, Esther; his two sons and daughtersin-law, Jack D.

(Janet) Kammien II, of Racine, and Terry (Jennifer) Kammien of Racine; his six daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen (Dennis) Running of Racine, Karen (Joseph) Covelli of Kenosha, Sherryl Olszewski of Racine, Susan (Gregg) Pofahl of Racine, Lorri Kammien or Racine, and Kammien of Racine; 12 grandchildren, T.J. Kammien, Jackie and Perry Running, Emilio, Nicki, and Pauline Covelli, Wally and Aaron Olszewski, Scott and Sarah Pofahl, Michael and Randy Zember; one great Jensen Kennow; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard (Ella) Kammien of Racine; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lorraine (Richard) Storheim of Racine, and Jean Oettinger of Racine; brothersin-law, Joseph Mandli, John (Jean) Mandli, Peter (Beverly) Mandli, all of Racine; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Dahs, Ann Putman, Ann Mandli, all of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Fern Weitzel; and brother, Eugene Kammien. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home. on Wednesday, April 30, 1997, at 10:30 with Rev.

Leon J. Schneider officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

He was born in Racine on December 18, 1938. On June 25, 1960, he was united in marriage to lone Mikaelian at St. Rose Catholic Church. He served in the United States Marines and was a graduate of the Dominican College. Kenneth was a former member of St.

Edward's Catholic Church and an active member of A.A. He was employed for 23 years as an Estimator: at Western Publishing Company and moving to Imperial, was employed by Universal Printing for 15 years. Survivors include his wife, lone; his son, Christopher Felbab of Imperial, his daughter and son-in-law, Susan (Dean) Fisher of Racine; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Rebecca, Amanda, and Daniel Fisher; his mother and stepfather, Agnes L. (Jesse) Goodwin of Racine; two sisters and brothersin-law, Joyce Gemmel of: Racine, and Marilee (Bob) Gagnon of Racine; two sisters-in-law, Mary Mikaelian of Racine, Lee (Greg) Srabian of Palos Heights, one brother-in-law, Myron (Liz) Mikaelian of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick J.

Felbab. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 1430 Grove Avenue, on Thursday, May 1, 1997, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Richard J.

Moter officiating. Entombment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m.

Downing; four nephews, James Downing, John 1 Downing, all of Atlanta, Richard Downing of San Francisco, and David Downing of Eugene, one niece, JoAnn Hubbard of' East Lansing, one great Matthew Hubbard of Austin, Texas; two great-nieces, Cristin Hubbard of New York City, N.Y. and Anna Downing of San Francisco, Calif. Funeral services will be held in Christ Church United Methodist, 5109 Washington Avenue, on Wednesday afternoon, April 30, 1997, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jo Bierer officiating.

Interment will follow in Mound Cemetery. Friends may call at the on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of services. She was born in Milwaukee on October 19, 1938, to parents Raymond and Hildegard (nee: Martin) Kircher. On April 8, 1957, she married Louis Petz in Waukegan, Ill. Most of her life, she lived in Racine, moving to Blue Mound in 1997. Mary Louise was a Certified Nursing Assistant. Survivors are her husband, Louis; daughter, Louanne (Gerald) Kozlik of Racine; a son, Raymond (Cindy) Petz of Racine; two sisters, Janet Guyant of West Bend and Rosemary Kircher of Menominee; one brother, Raymond Kircher of Sturgis, S.D.; and three grandchildren, Ryan and Jason Kozlik, and Jarod Petz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Dorothy Ryczek. Funeral services will be held at the Ellestad Funeral Home in Mt. Horeb on Wednesday, April 30, 1997, at 7 p.m. where friends may call from 5. p.m.

Robert Sommerfeld, 73, of Lehigh Acres, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 22, 1997. He was employed at Western Publishing Company for 44 years, retiring in January 1986. He was a member of I.B.B. Local 223. He is survived by his wife, Ellen; one son, Timothy Sommerfeld of Glendale, and also one niece and three nephews.

A private Memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, Lehigh Acres, Fla. on Saturday, May 3, 1997. Ethel H. Johnson RACINE Ethel H. (nee: Greene) Johnson, 96, passed away at Lincoln Lutheran Home on Thursday, April 24, 1997.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Bailey, Iowa on March 2, 1901, to Stephen and Dora (nee: Butler) Greene, She was married to William J. Johnson for 74 years. In her early years, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Racine. Mrs.

Johnson is survived by her husband, William J. Johnson; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty (Arthur) Donaldson, Ruth Anger, and Jane (Richard) Nauman, all of Racine; two sons and daughters-in-law, James (Louise) Johnson of Kenosha and Harold (Ricie) Johnson of Eagle River; and many grandchildren and great She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Private family Funeral services were held with Rev. Fred Hofer officiating. Interment was at West Lawn Memorial Park.

on November 5, 1917, to Oscar and Ruth Staaf. K.0. grew up in Chicago, Ill. and moved to Racine in 1945. He was united in marriage to the former Jeane Younquist at Trinity Lutharn Church in Racine on February 6, 1944.

He served in the United States Army Air Force during War II with the 108th Observation Squardron in Panama. He worked at the United States Post Office for 30 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of Atonement Lutheran Chruch, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and Kenosha American Legion Post 0021. K.0. was an avid stamp collector, reader, and he and Jeane traveled throughout the world.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Jeane; children, Margaret 'Maggie' (Stan) Gruenwald of Racine and Peter (Jan) Staaf of Whitefish Bay; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Karoline and Ed Steckley, Kristine, Katherine and Peter Staaf, and Lee Gruenwald; one sister, Mardo Jordan of Evanston, brother-inlaw and sister-in-law, Charles and Marjorie Youngquist of Racine; and one nephew, Charles Schneebeli of Tampa, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at Atonement Lutheran Church on Wednesday, April 30, 1997, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Warren Williams officiating.

Interment will be a at Green Ridge Cemetery in Kenosha. There will be a visitation on Tuesday evening, April 29, 1997, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Hanson Funeral Home. Mrs. Raddatz retired from Rainfair. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Surviving are a sister, Leona Raddatz; brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Eleanor) Lawrenz, both of Racine; special nieces, Gloria Washebek of Kenosha and Donna Sharp of Racine; special grandniece, Wendy Washebek of Kenosha; other nieces, nephews, many friends, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Clara (nee: Koehler) Lawrenz; husband, Carl Raddatz; brother-in-law, Edward Raddatz; and a sister, Adelaide 'Ollie' Meinert. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3011 Erie Street, on Thursday, May 1, 1997, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Richard Halom officiating.
