tin; Journal Times, Community, Racine, Wis Saturday, Sept 8, 1990 5 Weddings V' A Four attend Mendelssohn workshop APPLETON These high school students from Racine County were selected to participate in the Lawrence University Conservatory's intensive weekend workshop, "Experience Mendelssohn," this weekend, conducted by members of the Lawrence music faculty: Horlick High School: Angela Sca-lise. Case High School: Julie Pe-derson. Tammy Holladay and Jason Meissner. The program combines introductory music scholarship with performance. Participants in both the choral and orchestral components of the program receive intensive instruction in style, technique, theory and performance.

Parents of the couple are David and Mary Jane Yonker of Mexico City and Howard and Marilyn Sell of 5633 Frepdy Ave. The bride's attendants were the maid of honor, Mary Margaret Yonker (bride's sister), and bridesmaids Shira Miller, Lisa Immerman and Laura Schilling. The groom's attendants were the best man, Jack Hand-ley, and groomsmen Randy Sell, Jeff Sell and Stewart Yonker. David Gummin and Stewart Yonker were the ushers. The reception was held at the University Club in Mexico City and at Ensenada's in Racine on June 17.

The Sells are living in Milwaukee. The bride is a senior medical student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The groom is a resident physician in urology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. llentz-Oexuu Kristin Marie Bentz and Daniel Jon Oesau were married during a 3 p.m. ceremony Aug.

Parents of the couple are Daniel and Judith Bentz of 4349 Pennington Lane and Donald and Shirley Oesau of 2218 Kearney Ave. The bride's attendants were the matron of honor, Maren Pctras, bridesmaids Becky Bentz and Tammy Boas and junior bridesmaid Rachel Schuppe.

The groom's attendants were the best man, Brian Argstatter and groomsmen Gary Woodhull, Dave Oesau and Scott Oesau. Ushers were Don Petras and Bob Schultz. The reception was held at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. The Oesaus are living in Palatine.Ill. The bride is a freelance court reporter.

The groom is an electrical engineer at Motorola. Angela Koenig and Anthony Robert North were married durinf, a 2 p.m. ceremony June 9 at Sacred Heart Catholic The Rev. Stanley Klauck officiated. The bride was given away by her brother, Ralph Koenig.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Doris Koenig of Racine and the late Rolf Koenig. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Lerbach and Robert North, all of Milwaukee.

The bride's attendants were the maid of honor, Claudia Koenig (bride's sister); bridesmaids Melissa Castro, Sandra Filicetti, Barbara Crowley and Cheryl Busatcri, and flower girl Amy Contreras (bride's cousin). The groom's attendants were the best man, Anthony Busatcri (groom's uncle); groomsmen Michael Briski, Robert North (groom's brother), David Techtmann and David Brown, and ring bearer Nicholas Contreras (bride's cousin). The bride is a beauty consultant at Boston Store. The groom js employed in paint maintenance at Accutec in Oak Creek. Waterford cheerleaders earn award The Waterford Union High School cheerleaders recently returned from a National Cheerleaders Association summer camp workshop where they received top recognition as the best Junior Varsity squad at the camp. The workshop was held at Phelps, Wis. and attracted more than 200 cheerleaders from surrounding states.

The National Cheerleaders Association is sponsoring the "Best Junior Varsity" squad award at each of more than 315 NCA workshops held across the United States. The Waterford Junior Varsity cheerleaders were selected for the award on the basis of their cheerleading technique. unity, iriendliness, cooperation, leadership and sportsmanship. Squad members are: Jodi Sul livan. Katie Tymus, Amie Ledzki.
