ftajhlngton Poit New lork June Judge Ward of the 1 nlted states district court for the feouthcrn district of New York In de nying an injunction applied for by the Man land Mite Fair which is lncorpo rated in Maryland and operates a race track in that State against the Jockey Club and the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association confirms the right of the two latter organizations to enforce their rules and collect licenses fees and fin from all racing associations which the Jockey Club recognizes Wan repect to the claim of the Mary land State Fair that it had a right to comp 1 the Jocke Club to recognize the race meeting proposed to be held at Laurel next October Judge Ward said It is quite obvious the refusal to rec ogn ze that meeting is not for the pur lose of injuring the compla nant be cai se it did recognize the complainant meetings In October 1911 and October 191 The only reason appearing on the face of the papers for the refusal la the fact that the complainant hag not paid 1 per cent of its receipts for the meet ing of October 1912 to the Jockey Club as its rules require This seems to me a perfectly good reason BOWLERS AFTER PRIZES la Da en CHOOSE PONTIUS CAPTAIN Senior
