and Sarah (White) Tranum. Jc was brakcman for Ihc Weslcrn Maryland Railway and was the husband of the late Mamie (Sateman) Tranum. Survivors include a son, Charles Tranum, Chicago. three half-brothers, John Tranum, Phoenix. William Franklin, and Theodore Tramim, Baltimore; three half-sisters.

Mrs. Co'ra Walker, Baltimore; Mrs. Nora Smith. Franklin, and Mrs. Dolly Mongold, Piedmont, W.

and two grandchildren, Kufus W. Park FABIUS. W. Va. Rufus W.

Park, 61, last Thursday al liis home al Fabius. Mr. Park liad been in j)l health for some months and was in the Veterans Hospital In Martinsburg for treatment several months. Mr. Park was the son of the late Daniel Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (Poland) Park.

He was a veteran of World War 1 and a member of Ihe Kirby Posl 134, American Legion. Surviving are a daughler Mrs, Herman Spear. Charles Town, and five Thomas G. Park, Chehalis, Eddie W. Park, Plcasanl Dale; George Park.

Charles Town; Rufus W. Park Jr. and Clarence Park, both at horns. Also one grandson, Thomas L. Park, Chehalis, Wash.

Funeral- services were held Sunday at Ihe Asburg Methodist Church by Rev. Samuel Shank. Inlermcnl was in Asbury Cemetery. Military honors were cpn ducted by the members of Kirby Posl 134 John M. Gplli- day Post 64, American Legion, Moorcficld.

Mn. Dewey Werner MT. SAVAGE Mrs. Lucille Werner, 64, former resident, died Tuesday at her home in Tusca rawas, Ohio. A nalivc of Ml.

Savage, she was a daughler of the late George and Jennie Swaugcr. Mrs. Werner was Iwice married and both of her husbands, Jacob Bulls and Dcwey preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughler by her firsl marriage, Mrs. Kussell Myers, Gnadcnhullcn, Ohio, nnd four children by her second marriage; five brothers, Albcrl Ml.

Savage; David Swauger, Frostburg; Edwin Swaugcr, Baltimore; Raymond Swnuijcr, Dover, Ohio, and Arthur Swaugcr, Dcnnison, Ohio, and four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Porter and Mrs. Irene Ncal, Gnadcnhuttcn: Mrs. Mary Engle, Dover, and Mrs. Ella Cook, Fair Oaks, Pa.

The body is al Ihe Uhrichs Funeral Home in Uhrichsyillc. Ohio. Services will be condiicled Ihcrc tomorrow afternoon and burial will be in Dover Cemetery. Bids Sought OuRoadWork The State Road Commission has tentative plans to open bids June 10 for con struction of a stretch of Interstate 81, formerly designated as Inter statcj 2. northwest of Martinsburg in Berkeley County.

The project will involve grading, draining and concrete paving of 3.033 miles of the four-lane ex prcssway. No contracts for actual road work on the interstate system in West Virginia have been let as yet, although a contract was awarded earlier for a bridge on Interstate 64, formerly Interstate 3, in Cabcll County.
