In from ten to twenty-five minutes the tires may be moved and a stringing tackle is provided for this purpose.

The arrangement is a wonderful thing. The new tires lately made at the north al though designed in the Macon shops have the groove finish by which the clumsy look of the portions of the wheel left exposed by moving the tires is overcome. Wheels fitted with these tires look as if they were made on hat way purpose. venal engines of small size are being fit. ted with the new gauge drivers.

But they are jacked nj their present drivers removed and new cues substituted so that the ones now in use may be changed without delay. and de ready for the emergency. By these economical methods a great saving time and money will be gained. There are xoany other interesting details too tedious for an article of this sort connected with the change of gauge.
