Talae F. B. Tlaltntea LouUelle Roblns Arnold lIalraOD Hart Harris By Dick The. Carlisle Indians and the Auburn Plainsmen will met this afternoon on Grant field at 2 30 o'clock in the final football game of the season in Atlanta and in the south. The game promises to be a fitting climax to one' of the most enjoyable seasons of football that Atlanta fans have ever had the Privilege of witnessing.

and they will flock to the field in large numbers to witness the battle in anticipation of one of the most spectacular. and hardest-fought games ever played here. The Indians will send into the game their strongest up. Against Alabama they did not. use their strongest up.

several of the regulars not even starting in the game. among them their star fullback end captain Peter Calac. The Indians reallse that they have a hard task on their hands in handling the Auburn Plainsmen. Auburn will be the heavier. and.

with a grudge In their system the Plainsmen axe going to put up the hardest tight they know how and maybe the Indians will be the sufferers. Auburn's grudge dates back to the game with Georgia. when the Red and Black upset the do pe and tied the- Plainsmen and caused general opinion throughout the south to give the title to the University of Tennessee. Auburn will try to prove conclusively to the doubtful ones that this award was in error. by their game against the Indians this afternoon.

Weather Will Deride. The weather conditions and the shape the field is in will have considerable to do with the final outcome- of the battle. A wet field and a wet day would play havoc with the majority of the trick plays of the. Indians while It would also make the end running attack of the Auburn eleven a. doubtful quantity.

Then. too. a wet ball would make fumbling frequent and would probably result In both teams cutting out the open game except as a last resort and then only spasmodically. The Indians are noted for their open game tactics. Atlantons are looking for some spectacular lateral and forward passes.

and they are hoping that the weather man will dish out a brand of Weather that will permit of their seeing these tactics. Against the line plunging of Harris and llIdez Carlisle will offer their captain. Peter Calae. said to be one of the but line smashers In the country today. Indians Favorite.

The Indians will be slight favorites. This by reason of their easy victory over Alabama without the use of all their regulars and without resorting to any Qt their trick Auburn was considered to have a splendid chance for the victory before' the' Alabama game. but that game has caused the majority. to switch their- choice to the Indians for the victory. The game will mark the past one that Coach Glenn Warner will officiate In that capacity for the Indians.

and as he is very popular with the team and the student body Carlisle. the In dlans are going to do their very test to win the game for his sake. The game will also mark the last' football contest that eight of the Auburn Plainsmen will engage In. This will have Its mental effect on the Auburn players. and cause them to.

play their hardest to close their careers with victory. Captain Robinson and Kearley a ends Loutselle and Culpopper a tackles. Thlgpen at guard Pitts at center and Arnold and Hart in the backfield are the eight men who will play their last game today. But the main dope on the winner seems to hinge on whether or' no Auburn has recovered her stride. She went back after the Vanderbilt game and the doubtful ones are picking Car.
