OBITUARIES ADAMS, Charles H. I1, 69, died February 14, 2007. He was born May 15, 1937, in Philadelphia, Pa. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, a son, two sisters, and three granddaughters. Heath Funeral BLANKENSHIP, Robert 75, of Umatilla, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2007.

Mr. Blankenship was born in Haines City, and a former resident of Plant City, from birth to 1986. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Umatilla. Survivors include: his wife, Bertha Blankenship of Umatilla; son: Robert Wayne Blankenship of Ocala, daughter, Priscilla Jane Strickland of Fort Lauderdale, brother, Norman Neil Blankenship of Land Lakes, sisters, Audrey Mae Goff of Seminole, Hildrey Faye Cunningham of Seffner, Frances Ann Larisey of Jacksonville, Stella Ruth Welch of Indiana, and Sandra Kaye Mattia of Tarpon Springs; four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. The family will receive friends 3-5 p.m.

She was instrumental in the 282 development of Cypress Creek Golf Club in Sun City Center, and taught golf at Cypress Greens in Sun City Center, to Miami, Chicago and New York. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Burris. Gary was a salesman for Sunrise Elevator of Tarpon Springs for 15 years, a very active member of the Tarpon Springs Elks Lodge an avid hunter, fisherman, and an all around outdoorsman.

He is survived by his soul mate of many years, Renee Lawrence; his father, Larry of Spring Hill, brothers, Barry of Ohio and Larry of Holiday, Fla. and a sister, Lynn Smith of Spring Hill. A memorial service will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2007, at the Tarpon Springs Elk Lodge, 237 S. Pinellas Ave.

Army including five tours in Vietnam, retiring in 1992 with 30 years service. He relocated to here in 1987 from Key West, Fla. More recently, he had been a commercial fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Chiyo Horn, Riverview, two daughters, Elizabeth Horn-Brinson, husband, Mark, Wesley Chapel, and Angela Sprenger, Riverview, a son, Thomas A.

Horn, Riverview, three sisters, Mary Castle, Elizabeth Baisden and Nancy Marcum; and four grandchildren. He was born in Tampa December 2, 1920, and was a lifelong resident of this area. He had been a supervisor for Kaiser Chemical Co. with 30 years of service.

He had served in the U.S. Army, 11th Airborne Division, during World War II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and painting. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby E. Peterson, in 1998.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Worsham, Lakeland, and Betty Williams, Riverview, two sons, Ronald E. Peterson, Murphy, N.C., and Clayton W. Peterson, Seffner, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great grandchildren. and Doug Petit, Plant City; daughter, Gail Petit Millson, Windsor, Ontario, Canada; grandchildren, Kate Millson, Doug Millson, Ashley Petit, Elise Petit, Kyle Petit and Brittany Petit; brothers, Capt. Pete A. Petit, retired U.S. Navy and Jack Petit; sister, Ginnie Haber. His brother, Dick Petit, predeceased him in 2006.

A native of Moline, in 1943 Larry was sworn in to the inactive Reserve of the U.S. Army Air Corps and called to active duty February 9, 1944. Larry took advantage of the GI Bill attending Illinois State Teachers College in Macomb, for two years after World War II, transferring to the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Fla. He obtained his bachelor degree in business administration in 1949. Larry's entire career was with General Motors Acceptance beginning in 1949 in West Palm Beach, Miami, Albany Tampa and St.

Petersburg, retiring in 1986. He and Muriel moved to Black Mountain, N.C. They returned to Plant City, in 1994. A celebration of Larry's life, followed by interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla.

Wooten (Schwartz), 90, of Ruskin formally of Westerville, Ohio, died February 14, 2007, at the Marliere Hospice Care Center in New Port Richey, after over one year of loving care by her son, Larry, and daughter-in-law, Denise, in thier home in Trinity, Fla. Born May 26, 1916 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late Jacob and Lillian (Nuzum) Schwartz. Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Everett Edgar daughter, Janet Sue Cleesattle; one sister and six brothers. Survived by children, Anita Carolyn Stumph (Mike)Westerville, Ohio, Everett E.

Jr. (Myong), Newark, Ohio, Larry Robert (Denise), Trinity, Linda L. Butz (Michael), Newark, Del. and niece, Maria Bates, Columbus, Ohio and 10 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; brother, Paul Schwartz and sister, Dorothy Ely, both of Florida. She was very involved with and devoted to her religion.

She attended Mass daily and helped other non drivers with rides for many years, until her illness forced her to give up driving and housekeeping. Funeral services and internment are arranged by The Hill Funeral Home in Westerville, with calling hours 3- 5 p.m. February 18. A Memorial Mass will be conducted at St. Anne Catholic Church in Ruskin, with the date to be announced.

A special thanks to Geri, Pam and Holly of Hospice for all of their help and kindness. YATES, James of Tampa went to rest Wednesday, February 14, 2007. Retired from Continental Can Co. as plant quality control manager in 1986, he served as monarch of Zendah Grotto in 1977 and was cast director and president for 20 years. He also served two terms on the Cerebral Palsey board of directors and was presented with the Cerebral Palsey Humanitarian Award of Tampa Bay in 1977.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War Il, the Korean conflict and Vietnam. Mr Yates was a member of J.F. Swartsel Lodge 250 Free and Accepted Masons, Scottish Rite, Order of the Eastern Star Trinity Chapel. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Louise Yates.

Survivors include two sons, Phillip Clement and wife, Jean, Leon W. "Billy" Clement and wife, Carol; two sisters, Pam and Willa; one brother A.T.; six grandchildren, Vicky, Niki, Phillip, Cheri, Caroll and Carhy; and eight great-grand-children, James, D.J. Mara, JoyLynn, Vance, Aleesha, Ethan and Kylia. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2007, at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W.
