No signs of abatement of the Spanish influenza epidemic were seen here today. Dr. S. M. Weyer, of Kansas City, Mo and Dr.

Helena Rattermann. of Cincinnati, sent here by the Government to assist in stopping the spread of the malady, are co-operating with the Board of Health. Seventy-seven deaths have been reported in this city in the past 17 days, of which 59 are credited to Influenza. A large truck of tha Alfred Vogeler Drug Company, of Cincinnati, stopped at the crossing ef the. Baltimore and Ohio Railroad at Busenbark Station, four miles from this city, this morning and could not be moved.

The driver attempted to flag a south-bound freight train which was approaching, but to no avail. The truck was struck and wrecked and the load of drugs' totally destroyed. vThe order has been issued to storekeepers by the Board of Health to close their places of business on Saturday at 6 p. m. Ohio, tbat the weapon, had been recovered in that city and would be returned by parcel post. The revolver was found by one of the members of the Dayton Wright Field baseball team.

On account of conditions added precautions are urged by the authorities. Persons are urged not to burn leaves, not to spit on the pavements and to sprinkle walks before sweeping. The city Street Department began tbe flushing of streets with fire hose to-day in an effort to keep down the dust.
