Glines-Tharp wedding will be January 3 a a a A i a announces the plans for her wedding to Anthony Tharp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Woodie L. Tharp ol Greenville. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Dick G. Glines of Greenville. The wedding will be solemnized at 2 p.m. Jan.

3 at St. Joseph Cathode Church with Rev. Edward Sheridan, S.J. officiating. Altar boys will be Bobby Hipps ana Randy Hamilton.

Nuptial music will be presented by Mrs. Dave Sherman, organist and Mrs. Michael a Gregg Bennett, soloists. The bride will be given in marriage by her father. MaiO of honor will be JoAnna Maltina of Greenville.

Bridesmaids will be Mary Ellen Glines, sister of the bride, Jackie Mensi, Debra Robertson, Margaret Morris, all of Greenvile, and Suann Bennett, sister of the groom, of Shaw. Flower girl will be Missy Giachelli of Greenville. Ring bearer will be Timmy Tharp of Greenville, brother of the groom. Travis Tharp, cousin of the groom will serve as best man. Groomsmen will be Larry and Lawson Davis, Bobby Gatford all of Avon, Mark Hazzard, cousin of the groom, and James Ed Tharp, cousin of the groom, both of Greenville.

Joseph's Catholic dhurch in Greenville. Mildred a accompanied Mrs. Jan Turnage, soloist. of white gladioli, carnations, chrysanthemums -and baby's brcalh were used on 1 each -side of the altar. Bliss spiral candelabra holding white tapers flanked the flowers.

A brass pfle dieii completed the selling. JGiven in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of candlelight silk pSau de soie designed with a round a Rjriembroidcred motifs of Alencon lace enhanced the neckline and the liemlinc ot'the skirt which extended into a chapel train. Her tiered veil of illusion fell from a tiara of lace, seed pearls and crystals. The bride's bouquet was of bridal rises, carnations, chrysanthemums a id baby's breath. She wore a burgundy velvet gown immed with ecru lace and pink ribbon. Her flowers were a bsegay of pink carnations and red roses with baby's breath. James Hales of Greenville, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were David Hales and Botjbx Hales of Leland, brother of the groom. Tommy Hales of Houston, and Billy Hales of Leland, brothers of groom, were ushers.

The mother of the bride chose a street-length dress of powder blue knit an orchid corsage. The groom's mother wore a pastel pink dress with an orchid. A reception was held at the Downtowner after the ceremony. The reception rooms were decorated i a a chrysanthemums. The bride's table was covered with an heirloom crocheted cloth and held the three tiered wedding cake.

Topped with a miniature bride and groom, the cake was decorated with pink roses and wedding bells. The groom's German chocolate cake, decorated with frosted grapes was served from a silver tray. Tea girls were Mrs. Vicky Clements of Greenville, Mrs. Jan Turnage of Leland and Mrs.

Dianne Pastureau of New Orleans, La. Pam Stradberg of i presided at the guest register. For a wedding trip to the Ozarks the bride wore a two piece blue knit ensemble with her mother's corsage. The couple is at home in Greenville. ALLEN--A bridal shower Cooper was held at the Community Center with Mrs.

Robert Jones, Denise New, Liddell Doris and Mrs. Nancy Jones, hostesses. Miss Cooper is the bride-elect of James R. Kiker III of Avon. Punch and cake was served to approximately fifty people.

Special guests were IVfrs. James R. Kiker Mrs. James R. Kiker Jr.

and Mrs. Walter Cooper of Monticello, Ark. GLEN ALLEN---The Extension a held i Christmas luncheon in the home of Mrs. W.H. Brown Jr.

Christmas carols were sung and gifts were exchanged. The rooms were decorated with poinsettias and greenery. A social hour was held. Attending were Mrs. Brown, Mrs.

Fred A. Truesdate, Mrs. Charlie Fortner, Mrs. Frank Carter. Mrs.

Collins Bingham, Mrs. George Hayden, Mrs. Prentiss Ross, Mrs. Howard Cooper, Mrs. Lonnie Tlramas and Elizabeth Perkins.
