I man diseases HUMORS ENT THE BLOOD When the blood is pure, fresh and healthy, the skin will baaoit, smooth ad free from blemishes, but when some acid humor takes root in the ctrcu wjon its presence is manifested by a skin eruption or disease. These humors get into the blood; generally because of an inactive or sluggish condition of the members of the body whose duty it is to collect and carry of the waste and refuse matter of the system. This unhealthy matter is left sour and ferment and soon the circulation becomes charged with the acid I orison. The blood begins to throw off the humors and acids through the lores and glands of the skin, producing Eczema, Acne, Tetter, Psoriasis, Salt Rheum and skin eruptions of various kinds. Eczema appears, usually with a slight redness of the skin followed by pustules from which there flows a stickv fluid that dries and forms a crust, and the itching is intense.

It is generally on the back, breast, face, arms and legs, though other parts of the body may be affected. In Tetter the skin dries, cracks and bleeds; the acid in the blood dries up the natural oils of the skin, which are intended to keep it soft and pliant, causing a dry, feverish condition and giving it a hard, leathery appearance. Acne makes its appearance on the lace ft the form of pimples and black heads, while Psorissis comes in scaly patches on differ Jure 1 ent of the body One of the worst 'ohm of skin trouble is Salt Rheum; JSfm from which aowad a its favorite point of attack is the scalp, sometimes causing baldness. THE Vanderbilt Carlisle Indian game In Nashville on Thursday last will go down in history ins the reat eat ever played on a southern gridiron, looking at the battle from every standpoint Nothing is absolutely perfect, and, of course, a game of that length and fierceness la sure to turn up a few errors, in Judgment as well as in play, and a few of both varieties were, seen in the famous fight on Dudley field. As far as play is concerned, the bobbles were in the nature of fumbles, some In receiving punts and others in general scrimmage, and it appeared that the elevens came off just about even in "the judging from the results of the said fumbles.

Commodores Were the Goods. The Commodores played rings around their strong eastern opponents without doubt. The score and a study of the gates made show that Bob Blake's ability to outpunt the famous Mount Pleasant of the Indian back (laid on out for the Commodores, though it is true, that the boot which resulted in Vandy's four points was from an easier vantage place than were the Redskins' attempts. Mount Pleasant's boots went far wide of posts, and Blake's successful one was a beauty. The Vandy foot artist had less chances to kick than his Indian rival, but came out ahead, and.

luckily for his team, landed one. Blake's last attempt at goal went so close to the mark that all of the spectators thought that the Commodores had increased the count to 8 points. It was hard luck for Blake to lose out there, for the effort was an excellent one and so narrowly missed mak whole fight was to keep the Indian? away from goal kicking dlstarxe and she succeeded most admirably. After the first five minutes of play In the first half Carlisle never had a look in, and it was in the last number that Vandy really got a score. And not without reason, for the with the score against them, were making a desperate fight to gain prestige.

Great Forward Pass Work. While there are not many teams that have mastered the forward pass proposition, ihe Indians seemed to have turned the trick, judging from their wors against Vandy. One was a triple pass that went off like clockwork, and a prettier play has never been witnessed on a gridiron. It is the opinion of experts that it will require several years for the teams to get wise to the new features of the game made at the authorship of the rules committee, and it that is the Indians have It on the whole bunch in that Important factor, the forward pass. After the others learn how the Indians will have several years' advantage, for It la believed that the pass was worked well enough Thursday to demonstrate the helghth of Its effectiveness.

Vanderbilt was stung In that department The Indian ends were impassable, and that Is another place where Carlisle Is stronger. The Commodores could not do a bit of business on plain end runs and around end, the placid looking Bed skin ends killing everything that blew their way. However, a feature of the play that almost as startling as the score itself was the Vanderbilt backs' ability lo tear through the opposing line. Mauler is a good man and who Is sure to be placed on an all southern eleven at his position of fullback, but his good gains through the line were of the highest spectacular order. Chorn also worked nice gains over tackle and carried Indians, ball and ail for 5 yards at a clip, ah of the Vendertatu team wwsi tney naa to me to btmrtoe strong opposition, but Costen at quarter shone brilliantly throughout the contest There were many exchanges of punts, and in nearly every instance be waa on hand when they dropped.

When Blake booted the ball out of danger, Costen gathered in the Redskin as he gathered In the ball. A respectable come oaca was a rare thing, although, course, on more than one occasion bers of each team succeeding in running ior pretty xair distances. Tackled on Fair Catch. One remarkable thing about the game, and one that could not be readily understood, happened twice when Costen got under Indian punts. Raising his nana In signal for a fair catch and heeling, the plucky little quarter would naturally stand as he was.

and the Indians On anyway and tackled him. This cosi them a loss of 30 yards during the afternoon. Why the Redmen violated thli rule cannot be understood, unless they were coming so hard that they could see what kind of action was taking place. The worn of the entire Vanderbilt waa surprising, and at the same time thrilling to the vast crowd. Vandy's great work, unexpected as It was, came as a bolt from a clear sky, and spectators were dumfounded throughout but the climax of all this came the whistle sounded the end of the game and the victory wont to the souths great est team.

The Indians were generally conceded to be winners, and it seemed dream that couldn't be true when tl Commodores marched off the field with prestige unknown before to a Dixie ag gregation.
