One of the most important and potential meetings of the State Chamber of Commerce yet held in Georgia occurred today in Macon, at a Joint meeting of the commercial secretaries of the state chamber. It was unanimously decided that the state chamber, in what it had done with the small amount of money raised at the Macon meeting in September, had more than Justified its existence and shown itself capable of doing wonderful good for the state in an economical manner, and that the time was ripe for the state at large to be asked to give a runa of 150,000 a year tor three years, to do the work of the chamber. The plan in toto was indorsed by secretaries and the representatives of the press of the state, who promised their full and absolute backing during entire three weeks of the campaign.
