Weissmann, 550 52nd Moline, who practiced medicine in the Quad-Cities for 40 years, died Monday at Carle Hospital, Champaign. Arrangements Mr. Stannke died Monday, April 29, 1996, at II-lini Hospital, Silvis. He was born April 18, 1946, in Moline, the son of Milton A. and Vera Clifton Stannke.

He married Patricia Hensley Feb. 7, 1970, in Rock Island; He was employed as a production parts reclaimer working at John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline. He had served in the Marine Reserves. He enjoyed gardening, animals and watching his children play sports. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Beth Stannke, and a son, Mathew Stannke, both at home; his mother, Moline; his father, Bradenton, and a sister, Pam Early, Alexandria, Va.

of Leamon Rae and Mildred Rye Eastman. He married Candace Gause Nov. 30, 1974, in Silvis. He was a 1971 graduate from Moline High School. He was a truck driver and drove for 3-1 Trucking.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed stockcar races. 1 Survivors include the widow; daughters, Sonya Rae and Heather Rae Eastman, both at home; a granddaughter, Kilee Rae Eastman; his father, Moline; a sister, Jackie Carlson, Moline; and brothers, Keith and Gary Eastman, both of Moline. are pending at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline. Dostalek died Monday, April 29, 1996, at the home. He was born Nov. 9, 1910, in Chicago, the son of Antoine and Rose Mayer Dostalek. He married Dorothy Dean May 24, 1934. She died in December 1989.

He was employed as a phone man for the Chicago Board of Trade for many years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Highland Park Elks Club and the Highland Park Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Carol McCollum, Davenport; a son, Gerald Dostalek, Schaumberg, five grandchildren; and his sisters, Helen Eichler, Seattle, Mildred Clauson, Chesterfield, Md and Sylvia Hadjuk, Highland Park, 111. The following year he fan the Pro Shop at Saukie.

He was a World War Navy veteran, having served in the South Pacific Theater in ship repair. He was recognized for heroism when he pulled a young boy from a pond in Lincoln Park. He was a life member and past commander of Rock Island VFW Post 1303; life member of Friend's Circle Club, Moline; United Auto Workers 434 Retirees; former member of Meat Cutters' Union; was active in Democratic Party in the 30s and 40s; served as Precinct Committeeman; 6th. Ward Alderman; City Chairman and President of Rock Island County Young Democrats; Rock Island Conservation Club; and was a member of Imman-uel Lutheran Church. He played all sports in high school.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing cards. Survivors include a nephew, H.B. Peterson, Phoenix, and a special friend, Pearl Wuestenberg, Rock Island. MOLINE Elaine Fahlstrom There are no 'services for Elaine G. Fahlstrom, Denver, formerly of Moline.

Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline is in charge of arrangements. Miss Fahlstrom died Friday, April 26, 1996, in Morrison, Colorado. She was born Oct. 3, 1914, in Moline, the daughter of Charles and Martina She graduated from Moline high School in 1932.

"He always had insightful thoughts and offered good comments," Dr. Flores said. Although Dr. Wiessman had been retired for many years he still attended scientific comments and stayed informed on current issues, Dr. Flores said.

Dr. Weissman, a Cincinnati, Ohio, native, graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. After five years in the military, that included serving with the occupation forces in Japan after World War II, he came to the Quad-Cities and joined the East Moline practice of his brother Dr. M.F. Weissmann.

In 1947, he took over the medical practice of Dr. H.M. Gibson, Moline. According to Connie Lannin of Trinity Medical Center, Dr. Weissmann was medical staff president of Lutheran Hospital in 1955.

In 1965, he was president of the county medical society. He had been elected the society's secretary two years earlier. In 1970, he and two other area doctors Dr. James Miller and Dr. Ruth Rominger traveled with 162 Illinois State Medical Society members to Northeast Africa.

In addition, Dr. Weissman served on the Rock Island County Public Health Committee that worked with the county board of sors to create and establish the county health department He retired from practice in 1987. Sister Mary Bald Sister Mary Alphonsa Bald, 87, Bishop Drum Care Center, Des Moines, died Tuesday, April 30, 1996, at the center. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Humility of Mary Center Chapel, Davenport.

Miss Bald was born Aug. 17, 1908, in Buffalo, Iowa, the daughter of Edward Charles and Mary Agnes Cooney Bald. She attended Brown's Business College, Davenport. She entered the Congregation of Humility of Mary on Jan. 1, 1934.

She professed her first vows Aug. 1, 1936 and professed her final vows Aug.l, 1939. Her missions included Dowling, Des Moines, Iowa, St. Vincent's Home, Davenport, Ottumwa Heights, Dunlap and St. Joseph Health and Rehabilitation Center, Ottumwa.

Survivors include a sister, Ethel Keller, Kalamazoo, brothers, Charles Bald, Mountain Home, and Vincent Bald, Brecken-ridge, and several nieces and nephews. John Shetler John L. He was a Korean Conflict Army veteran. He retired as the Logistics Support Division Warehouseman and General Foreman at the Rock Island Arsenal in 1971. He had also owned and operated the former Milem Standard Station, Erie. He was a World War Navy veteran. He enjoyed cars and fishing. He was treasurer for 15 years of the Davenport Community Chest prior to its merger with the present United Way; was one of the organizers of Davenport Area Foundation and its' first treasurer; was one of the original organizers and first secretary and treasurer of Davenport Club; a member and past president of Outing Club; a member and past director of Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club; and was president of the former Town Club. He also was a member of North Lake Presbyterian Church, Lady Lake. Survivors include daughters, Diane H. Price, Susan J. Boldt, both of Richardson, Texas, and Judith E.

She enjoyed gardening and play- ing bingo.
