The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Todd Jackson of Millspring, NC and Dr. and Mrs. Christopher Comer of Nacogdoches, TX.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Michael Williams. Rachel Massegee of Hendersonville, NC, friend of the bride, and Stephanie Williams of Arlington, VA, sister of the bride, both served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Morgan Pearson of Essex, Emily Watson of New Haven, Conn. And Sarah Beth Plowman of Cullowhee, NC, all friends of the bride. Alana and Elliot BLACKMON MRS.

David Binford Bass. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Emory Smith of Oak City, N.C. Grandparents of the groom are Mrs.

Barbara Brumsey Smith of Currituck, N.C., the late Mr. Millard Randolf Smith, the late Mr. Charles Edward Doll Jr. and the late Mrs. Leta Doll Olgine.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Millard Ross Strickland Jr. The bride's gown was a white silk taffeta Enzoani gown. The strapless, modified A-line gown featured an asymmetrical drop waist with rouching and beaded lace embellishments down the bodice, silk taffeta buttons down the back and was followed by a chapel train. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of various pink flowers including tulips, gerber daisies, roses, alstroemeria, and carnations, accented with purple statice, hypericum berries, and bells-of-Ireland. Casey Nicole Boone of Nashville, N.C., friend of the bride served as maid of honor.

Lindsey Smith Davis of Apex, N.C., sister of the groom and Maria Ayala Strickland of Quantico, sister-in-law of the bride both served as matrons of honor. Alice Murph of Plymouth, N.C. The couple drove a new John Deere 7830 tractor to the wedding reception held at Birchwood Country Club given by the bride's parents. Tractor provided by East Coast Equipment of Nashville. Following a wedding trip to Palm Island in the Grenadines, the couple will make their home near Merry Hill, N.C. The bride graduated from Northern Nash High and North Carolina State University where she received a bachelor's degree in horticulture landscape design.

The groom graduated from Lawrence Academy and North Carolina State University where he received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed by Nucor Steel in Hertford County. On February 5, 2009, a family tool shower was given by the bride's parents at Nashville Baptist Church. On April 5, 2009,: a bridal shower was given by friends at Nashville Baptist Church. On April 24-26, 2009, a bachelorette weekend was given by Casey Boone and bridesmaids at Emerald Isle.
