13, Graveside services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is in charge of local arrangements. The former Ruth Gugler was Daniel Boelens Daniel J. Boelens, 36, of Rock Falls, died of natural causes in his home on Monday, Sept.

13, 1999. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Annawan. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Atkinson.

29, 1962, in Kewanee, the son of Lawrence "Dick" and Charlene (Childs) Boelens. He was educated in the Annawan area and graduated from Annawan High School in 1981 and from Black Hawk College-East, Kewanee, in 1983. He worked as a machinist at IM-ECO in Polo, 111. During high school, he showed dairy cattle for several years and was active in 4H and FFA. He enjoyed riding and working on his Harley Davidson motorcycles.

He liked to work on older tractors and cars. Dan enjoyed time with his nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Henry County Farm Bureau. Survivors include his mother, Charlene, Annawan; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Linda Boelens, Sheffield; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue Carley, Kewanee, Jane and Mark Pennington, Graceville, and De-bra and Fred Kopp, Kewanee; and 12 nieces and nephews. His father and grandparents preceded him in death.

1999, at Manor Care, Davenport. Mrs. Lang was born Dec. 12, 1905, in Appanoose County, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Margaret (Ammons) Gooding. She married C.

Herbert Petersen Nov. 23, 1929, in Rockford. He died in 1958. She married Monroe Lang in 1975 in Batavia, 111. He died in 1988.

In her early years she worked in the billing department at Deere Moline. She was an active member of the Democratic Party, serving four terms as Rock Island County Democratic Chairwoman. She attended President Kennedy's inauguration and President Truman's birthday party. Survivors include nieces, Nelda Pollner, New Boston, Guelda Reynolds, Hampton, Linda Sullivan, Bettendorf, and Susan Pellegrino, Janesville, nephews, Alan Gooding, Geneva, J. Ellison Gooding, San Francisco, and Lawrence True, Rock Island; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Two sisters, a brother, a niece and a nephew preceded her in death. Alice Fuhrer Funeral services for Alice E. Fuhrer, 66, of East Moline, will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, East Moline. Burial will be at Hampton City Cemetery.

7, 1915, in Muscatine, Iowa, the eighth of the 19 children born to Henry and Vada Ellen Hurlbutt Maisenbach. She married Ivan C. Hines April 21, 1934, in Muscatine. Shortly after their marriage, they made their home in Rock Island and operated Hines Paint and Body Shop until Ivan's death in February 1989. She was the bookkeeper for her husband's business.

She loved her family dearly and enjoyed their special card games, bingo and family get-togethers. She will be remembered for her generosity and kindness to others. She had a deep and abiding faith in God and read the Bible often. This encouraged her to lead many of her grandchildren to the teachings of the Lord. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy A.

Smith, Moline; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert I. Hines (Mary Marathon, nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Woolley, Midway City, Phyllis Marshall, Moline, and Myrna Chasteen, St. Paul, brothers, Warren Maisenbach, Anaheim, and William Maisenbach, Buena Park, several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a good friend, Madeline Van Den Hende, Rock Island. Ferris May 12, 1929. He died Aug. 17, 1969. Ruth was a second-grade teacher for 13 years in the Colona Public School System, retiring in 1965. She formerly taught in Kansas and substituted in Moline prior to working in Colona.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Richland Center and former member of First United Methodist Church in Moline. Ruth participated in many organizations, including United Methodist Women, Margaret Bottome Circle of King's Daughters, YMCA, Women's Club of Moline, Garden Club of Women's Club of Moline, Moline Public Hospital Auxiliary, Retired Teachers Association, AARP, Fine Arts Guild, Delta Zeta social sorority and Literary Guild. She also was a avid bridge player. Survivors (and spouses) include two daughters, Janice (George) Huszti of Milwaukie, and Marilyn Anderson of Richland Center; six grandchildren, Margo (Leo) Collins of Waunakee, Dan Anderson of Madison, Ruth (Randy) Foss of Appleton, James A. Anderson of Richland Center, Barbara (Louie) Spisla of Milwaukie, and Sandra Huszti of Oregon; 10 great-grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel H.

20, 1960, in East Moline. She taught for 37 years, retiring in 1991 from Glenview School, East Moline, as a seventh-grade English teacher. She was a loving and caring wife, sister and mother. She put family before all else, and was a lifelong member and leader in the church. She loved her cats and cooking, and was always energetic and helpful.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Adam Grennan, East Moline; a son, Jeffrey Fuhrer, East Moline; a sister, Mary Chapanian, East Moline; a brother, Bill Samson, Grays Lake, and several nieces and nephews. She was born July 25, 1953, in Davenport to Dick Smith and Betty Watson. She married John Horlbogen June 15, 1975, in Davenport. She was a self-employed interior decorator. She was a member of Kingdom Hall, Seekonk. She enjoyed painting, crafts and art.

Survivors include her husband, John; a son, Chad, of Seekonk; brothers, Dino Moliterno, Colona, Tony Mo-literno, Moline, and Guy Voss, Iowa City; and 13 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother James. born Aug. 27, 1911, in Tiskilwa, 111., daughter of Charles Clifford and Charlottie Thompson Day. She received her education in Riceville, Iowa, and married James Edward Day Nov.

12, 1938, in Davenport. He died Nov. 24, 1982. She had been a Milan resident since 1939. Maud worked at McCabe's Department Store, Rock Island, and Comfort Harbor Nursing Home, Milan.

From 1977 to 1989, she worked for Professional Medical Coverage, Care at Home and Nurses House Call. Maud loved flowers and helping people in any way she could. Survivors include a son, James Detroit, who lived with her eight years until present; a daughter, Carol Travis, Rock Island; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Opal Minnis, Twin Lakes, She was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers. He died in 1987. She was employed as the marking room supervisor at the former Peters-en-Harned Von Maur, Davenport, for many years, retiring in 1971. 30, 1995. She worked as an assistant librarian at United Township High School for 15 years, retiring in 1977. She was an active member of St. Mary's Church and much enjoyed singing in the choir. She also enjoyed reading, playing cards and bingo.

She was a member of the UTHS Retired Employees Association. He died Feb. 17, 1996. She had been employed as a clerk at the former Betty's Variety Store in Orion. Earlier she had worked at Meadow Lanes Bowling Alley, Orion, and also as a waitress at the Quad City Airport. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Geneseo, and its Rebecca Circle.

Prior to that, she had been a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion, and the Clover and Friendly circles of that church.
