GRIFFIS, 85, of Palm Harbor died Thursday at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor. A native of Herkimer, N.Y., he wintered in the area several years from Wolcott, N.Y. He was a dairy farmer and a member of St Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Leona; two daughters, Mary Schrad-er of Marathon and Marie Fiorito of Tarpon Springs; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. CLYDE 0. JOHNSON, 83, of St. Petersburg died Tuesday at home. He moved to the area in 1977 from his native Gerry, N.Y. He was head sawer for Ellenton Hardwood, a member, Sunday school teacher and youth leader at Free Methodist Church and a volunteer firefighter in Gerry.

KANE, 23, of Tampa, formerly of Safety Harbor died Monday at Tampa General Hospital. A native of Des Moines, Iowa, she moved to the area in 1973 from Peekskill, N.Y. She is survived by her parents, Gary and Ginger of Tampa; a brother, Kevin of Tampa; her paternal grandparents; her maternal grandparents; and several aunts and uncles. MICHAEL GEORGE RENNIE, 30, of St Petersburg died Tuesday at St. Anthony's Hospital. A native of Paterson, N.J., he returned to the area in 1988 from Garfield, N.J. He was a hair stylist for Mantrap Hair Salons and a member of Tampa Bay Men's Chorus. He is survived by his mother, Peggy J.

BULLOCK, 84, of Belleair Bluffs died Monday at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, N.Y. A native of Irving, N.Y., she moved to the area in 1970 from Lake Hopatcong, N.J. She was formerly employed with Hunter Blood Bank, a member of Highland Presbyterian Church in Largo and volunteer for Tampa Bay Harvest. She is survived by four sons, John A. Jr.

VIRGINIA B. BURGESS, 83, of Gulfport died Tuesday at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in South Pasadena. A native of Kentucky, she moved to the area in 1969 from Lexington, Ky. She was a clothing buyer for Graves Cox in Lexington and worked for Leneave Florist. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Anthony's Hospital. A native of Tallahassee, she moved to the area in 1934 from Bradenton. She was Baptist. She is survived by two sons, Edward of St Petersburg and Louis of Los Angeles; a daughter, Vera Spinks of St. Petersburg; a sister, Annie Baldwin of Boston; seven grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
