MISS BEVERLY ANN RUTHERFORD Miss Beverly Rutherford To Wed Dan Kohler In May Announcement is made today of the engagement of Miss Beverly Ann Rutherford and Dan Kohler of Beaumont, Texas. Miss Rutherford is the daughter of Mrs. Joe Land of Beaumont, Texas and Curtis Rutherford, Greenville. Mr. Kohler is the sun of Mrs.

John P. Kohler and the late Mr. Kohler, also of Beaumont. Miss Rutherford will graduate in May from Forest Park High School. She is listed in the top 10 percent of her class for highest honors.

Mr. Kohler is attending Lamar State College of Technology in Beaumont where he is a pre-medical student. He is a member of Beta Beta Beta, national biology honor society, The wedding date has been set for May 30 at the St. Pins Catholic Church in Alice Bell Garden Club The Alice Bell Garden Club will mect Tuesday at 3 p.m. al the Downlowner.

JUANITA JONES, CERAMIC STUDIO 518 Orlando St. GHS Senior Honored At Hay-Ride Tod Robinson, Greenville High; School senior was lionored Salurday night by Mr. and Mrs. Murray Alexander with an old fashion hay ride and barn. dance held at their country home, Auburn '1- tation.

Sixty of the honoree's classmates gathered at the Alexander's home and were taken by tractor and trailers to the country place. The scene of the party was the barn which was lighted by kero-1 sene lanterns and decorated with bales of hay. Refreshments were served from a long Lable decorated with lanterns and ivy. The barn's water trough served as the container for cold drinks. Miss Peggy Keady called square dance.

Also assisting the Alexanders were Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Robinson, the honoree's parents, and Mr.

and Mrs. Walter Roman, Eastern Star Anniversary Is Celebrated CLEVELAND The fiftieth anniversary of the Alex Faries Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star was observed at its monthly mecting in the Masonic Lodge. The chapter was chartered in Aprit, 1914. Longlime chapter members. were honored.
