and Gladys Virginia Santee Booth. Woody proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He was an electrician with Edgecombe County Schools. He was preceded in death by his father, the Rev.

Born in Nash County, December 12, 1921, she was the daughter of the late voyner anu Clara Pridgen.

Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her. husband, William C. Weaver. Mrs.

Weaver was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church. Survivors are sons, W.C. Weaver Jr. and his wife, Judy, who was like a daughter to her; Ronnie E. and his wife, Lena, Randy L.

Weaver; her daughters, Janice W. Brake and husband, Tommy, Shirley W. Cobb and husband Neal; nine grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; seven Tommy Booth and wife, Bobbi of Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, May 13, 2003, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Bowling Funeral Home, and other times at the home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at 11 a.m.

Memorials may be made to Shenandoah Baptist Church, 3894 Shenandoah Drive, Rocky Mount, NC, 27803. Ira Lee Roberson Jr. Ira Lee Roberson, 80, passed away Monday, May 12, 2003. He was born September 8, 1922, in Pitt County, son of the late Ira Lee Sr. and Allie Bulluck Roberson.

Ira was a member of West Haven Presbyterian Church. He had been a resident of South Village since June, 1972. He was preceded in death by five brothers, J. Samuel, Alton Harvey Hugh and Carl B. Roberson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one sister, Doris R. Wells of Plymouth; several nieces and nephews and several special cousins, Billy, Gladys, Patricia, Pearl, Gray and Gussie. Graveside memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery, with the Rev. Connie Button and special friend, Calvin Stussie officiating.

Granddaughter of R.J. Reynolds and heir to tobacco fortune dies WINSTON-SALEM (AP) Anne Cannon Forsyth, heir to North Carolina tobacco and textile fortunes, died at Forsyth Medical Center on Sunday. She was 72.

Forsyth, a granddaughter of R.J. Reynolds, died of pneumonia, said Joslin Davis of Winston-Salem, Forsyth's attorney and a longtime friend.
