Propose Tax Rate Hikes TOPEKA Four bills de- ligned to produce between 13 and 15 million dollars in additional revenue were introduced in the Kansas House today. They would: Raise corporate income taxes from three to four per cent ani? the maximum individual income rate from five to seven per cent to raise an estimated nine to 10 million dollars. Extend the one per cent severance tax, now imposed on oil and gas only, to other minerals Increase taxes on 3.2 beer from $3.10 to $10 per barrel; about 3.7 million. Place an excise tax on all tobacco products, except cigarettes, of 15 per cent of wholesale prices for about $750,000. All the bills except the bser measure were introduced by Democrats.
