John M. formerly of Taxahaw in this county, which occurred at the homo of her daughter, Mrs. H. N. Clyburn at Flint early that morning.

Capt. and Mrs. Bolk loft here only about two veoks ago to reside with then daughter. Mrs. Belk for the past few yoars hud been a great sufferer from cancer and it was thn which caused her death.

She was in her 74th year, having been born July 4, 1830. Besides her husband, and daughter, Mrs. Clyburn, sho loaves three sons surviving her, viz; J. J. T.

Belk, anil J. Belk, of the Taxahaw section. She was a member of thi Baptist church for years and win a good, christian woman.
