Little Observe Fifty-fifth Anniversary Sunday. Snow Again Halts Start of Army Planes. SOCIETY 1 I. Ten veterans of the Civil War, who reside in Moline, attended the LeClaire theater this afternoon to see Only the Brave as the guests of F. V.

Kennebeck, manager. There are nineteen veterans left in Graham post. Two of them are blind and unable to attend. Five-others failed to avail themselves of the invitation because of physical limitations. A invitation was extended to the nineteen to see the picture, which portrays life of the Civil war period.

WOMAN'S ALLIANCE FLANS FOR RECEPTION APRIL 10 Woman Alliance oL Uic first Unitarian church met yesterday afternoon with Miss Alice Crossman, 1811 Seventh avenue, and arrangements were made to hold a reception for the Rev. Raymond Bragg of Chicago, the new secretary of the western conference of the Unitarian church, who will visit here on April 10. The reception will follow an address by Mr. Bragg at the church.

Mrs. W. O. White had charge of program yesterday, reading an article from the Women's Journal on Miss Wu in China. The hostess refreshments at the afternoon's close.

The next meeting Will be on April 9 in the Alliance room with Mrs. Richard Monroe as hostess. Bob was sent on a mys terious errand by the scoutmaster, Herman Linde, and when he returned he was welcomed with most enthusiastically sung birthday greet ings. Bob's mother, Mrs. Richard C. Bimson, served an appetizing repast, the boys surrounding one long table which was centered with the candle- lighted birthday cake. Eighteen scouts and several other guests enjoyed the spread and later games were played.

Flashlight pictures were taken, which will long serve to remind the boys of the happy occasion. PLYMOUTH MISSIONARY SOCIETY IN PARSONAGE Plymouth Congregational missionary society met yesterday afternoon in the parsonage with the new pastor and his wife, the Rev. and Mrs. Frederick Brinck. The attendance was exceptionally large and the session opened with devotionals by Mrs.

Arthur Smith. Mrs. W. V. Richards, the leader for the year, presented a well-planned and interesting lesson, assisted by Mrs.

Belle Morgan, Mrs. A. E. Montgomery and Mrs. Brinck.

Mrs. Carl Kellogg pleased with a voice number, as did Mrs. Walter Smith of Rock Island. A social hour and refreshments were enjoyed after the lesson. PARENT-TEACHER BRIEFS P.
