Wendell Casady returned Monday from the Mercy hospital at Mason City, having been there for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Korneisel are here from Pennsylvania visiting at the parental Carl Korneisel home. They will make their home in Iowa City where Kenneth will attend the University.

Mr. and Mrs. Erval Olsen an two daughters, Chelly and Cindy of Miami. Florida, came Sunday for a vacation and visit at the horn of his parents, the E. H.

Olsens and also with Mason City folks. Carl Korneisel and son Keitl spent Labor Day week end at Ode boldt. Mrs. A. A.

Matson went to th Mercy hospital at Mason City Thursday, for surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Korneisel and Mr. and Mrs.

Robert Korneisel at tended a cleaners meeting at Hote! Ft. Des Moines, Sunday. Miss Kathryn Korneisel accompanied Miss Marjorie Schaper back to Des Moines, Sunday. Marjorie is employed there and Kathryn will visit friends in the city. Mr.

and Mrs. E. H. Olsen and Miss Alberta Matson visited at the J. M.

Swanson home at Forest City, Sunday. A farewell gathering was held at the Lon Wright home Sunday, honoring Gary Olson, who left for service Monday. Those present included the Glen Wright family, Blooming Prairie, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Olson and Jim, and Miss Opal Olson, Waltham, the Robert Hughes family, Des Moines; the Louis Hepperlys, Ventura; Mr.

and Mrs. Don Severson, Fertile; the Dean Faust family, Mrs. Cleo Faust, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Harding, Miss Darlene Anderson, and Mr.

and Mrs. Weston Gault and Jerry. A co-operative dinner was served at the noon hour. Mrs. A.

E. Bodie was very happy Monday when she received an air mail letter from her daughter-in- law, Mrs. Clayton Feasting, at Hollywood, advising that her senior year and most of her work is in the laboratory. Miss Sara Lee spent Labor Day week end at Badger with Miss Marvyl Myrland. Miss Myrland returned to Freeport, 111., to teach another year in the second of the Freeport public school.

Mrs. A. E. Bodie, who had been at Isanti, caring for a sick daughter-in-law for the past four weeks, returned to Britt last week. Mr.

and Mrs. Fred Dail and their daughter, Mrs. Henry Meyers, and a friend, all of Kasson, brought Mrs. Bodie to Britt. Mrs.

Dail is a daughter of Mrs. Bodie. Isanti is northeast of Minneapolis and Mrs. Bodie reports that they had a cool August and temperatures had dropped to as low as 30 degrees, however, they had no frost as yet. Kenneth Beaman sends along a subscription renewal from Norwalk, saying they enjoy the paper so much and it is like a letter from home.

and Mrs. Pete K. Leu- verke and family, and Miss Mary 'ohnson were at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Leuwerke, Saturday night to celebrate Cudt Leu- vcrke's twentieth birthday anni- ersary.

Mrs. Dora Nelson and daughter Miss Ardis visited at the home of he former's sister, Mrs. Emil Young are both students at Nashville, and were at Forest City on a short vacation, in Miss Datum's home. Mrs. Bessie Kisenmun has gone to her home at Grand Island, following a short visit at the Glen' Madole home Webster City after leaving Britt where she spent a month with her parents, the W.

College. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Anderson, of Ames, accompanied them to th5 city and th group took in the state fair. Mis Anderson spent this week end Britt.

Miss Alice Hejlik, student nurs at the Mercy hospital at Maso City, began her month's vacatio August 30. She is working part time at the local hospital. On Sep 27 she will return to her training She is now in her third year. Those who will be attending th Iowa State College at Ames wi include Merle Carman, Argere Papadakes, Sally Pritchard, Darre Schaper. Erwin Whitney, Dea Rasmuson, Kenneth Cosgrif.

Curtis Wilson, Dale Anderson, this vicinity; Tommy Forburger Teddy Hansen, and Robert Giffings Wesley. Ronald Lechelt returned Frida from the Great Lakes Naval Hos pital near Chicago, 111., where worked during the summer. He enjoy a week's vacation prior going to Iowa City where he will enrolled as a junior in the medica school. Rosella Hejlik will enter the Good Counsel Academy at Man kato. as a junior.

Emil Sawyer, and returned to City, Sunday. Chicago prior to coming to Britt. Miss Vera Hanson began her teaching duties in the first grade of the Rockford, 111., public school Sept. 7. Rose Marie Sigler has gone to Des Moines to instruct in the school for another year.

Miss Sigler spent the summer in New London, visiting and working. Mr. and Mrs. C. C.

Horstman are having a new home built on their farm southeast of Britt. The old house was moved and the new- building is being erected over the basement of the old house. Ardit Rust and Marion Elaine Redeniu will be students at Waldorf Colleg at Forest City. Mary Hughes will attend Gal Institute in Minneapolis, Minn Joan Bell, Jeanette Horstman an Judith McGinnis will study at Cor nell College, Mt. Vernon, this year The Luther College at Decorah will have three of our young people Berneil Rust, James Naser and Vi Willodson. Lt. and Mrs. Henry Germain, of Bethlehem, are the parents of a daughter born Sept. 7. The baby weighed seven pounds and has been named Marie Agnes.

B. Ladies Aid Society met Thursday afternoon in honor of charter members and past members and friends of the group. This is the liOth anniversary of the society. Mis. Emory Long and Mrs.
