RELATIVES HEAR HUTCHEN'S DEATH Hauptman relatives received word May 12 of the sudden death of Lenus Hutchens, 40, of Ft. Worth, Texas. He was injured in a car accident in Pioche, May 7 and died May 10. Funeral services were conducted in Odgen, Utah. He leaves his widow, the former Madelyn Hauptman, daughter of Mrs.

Anna Hauptman and the late Ed. Hauptman; two daughters, Diane, 14, and Linda, 10; one son, Gary, 15; also three sisters and one brother. LEASE GETS RELEASE FROM NAVY Mr. and Mra. L.

L. Lease went to Ames, May 15 to their ton, Loren, who was discharged May 12 from the navy at Philadelphia. He served four yean aboard IT. S. S.

Juneau and for the past several months has worked in the office at the separation center in Philadelphia. Guy Ash entered Hancock County Memorial Hospital, May 8 for medical care and on May 12 was transferred to Veterans hospital, Des Moines. L. L. Lease took his brother.

A. M. Lease, to Mercy hospital, Mason City, several days last week for therapy treatment of a bone disease that has confined him to his home for several weeks. ALNES TO VISIT IN NORWAY The Jack Lickteigs and family moved this week from Loebig apartments to the Sam Alne home. The Alnes leave May 26 from New York for a several months visit his relatives in Norway.

They have stored their furniture in the brick building on Main St. which is enclosed but not complete. ELECTS NEW OFFICERS Catholic Daughters held election of officers at their meeting last week. Carl Korneisel, of liritt. and Miss Mildred Clark, of Danville, were married April 11 at the Park Temple Methodist church in Fort Lauderdale, Flu. The couple took a wedding trip to various points in Florida and also at Green Brair, W. Va. They visited her mother at Danville, prior to going to Shawnco Inn, whore both are employed.

The bridegroom is a native of Britt. He was graduated from I.rftt High school and Britt Junlet College. He served his country, eighteen months, and took work both the Iowa State College Ames and the State University aft Iowa City. Mr. Korneisel employed at various points, hotel work.
