AN ODE TO AN ANGEL. The breezes of a summer night are wafted by thy wings. Thy hands reach down and lighten sorrow's load; The tuneful echoes of thy voice are songs the wild bird sings. Thy smile is one that brightens God's abode. Thy happiness brings sunshine in the Indian Summer day.

Thine eyes' reflected splendor lights the stars; The glory of thy tresses fair begets the soft moon raya. Thy robes create the rainbow's tinted bars. Thy laughter gives the singing brook its muslcsoft and low. Thy footsteps tread where sweetest flowers bloom: Thy brow reflects to winter days the whiteness for their snow, Thy Angers trace the sunset ero night's gloom. The scented blossoms of the earth are perfumed by thy breath.

Thy lips caress the dawn and cause the dew. Thy presence proves eternal life dear heart, there is 00 death! A little while, alone, and then then you.
