Lenz, the former Evelyn Lien, was born May 7, 1910, at Hillsboro, N.D. and attended schools in North Dakota. She married Gerhard Lenz in 1929 at Downer, Minn. They lived in Gretna, Neb. for 40 years, moving to Barnsville, Minn.

in 1968 where they lived until 1978 when they moved to Primghar.Mrs. Lenz was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild of the church. Survivors include her husband; one son, Gerhard of Midland, Texas; seven brothers, Chester and David, both of Pelican Rapids, Alfred, Laurence and James, all of Downer, Norman of Savin, Minn. and Arnold of St.

Cloud, one sister, Mrs. Bernice Olesberg of Seattle, and two grandsons. Rev. Raymond Lubbers ORANGE CITY, Iowa The Rev. Raymond John Lubbers, 91, of Des Moines, formerly of Orange City, died Saturday in a nursing home in Des Moines.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the First Reformed Church in Orange City. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.

Rev. Lubbers was born Jan. 8, 1892, in Cedar Grove, Wis. He graduated from Hope College in Michigan in 1914 and taught at Northwestern Academy in Orange City. He married Lucy Vander Ploeg July 21, 1920, at Sioux Center.

He served a pastorate at Sheboygan, Wis. from 1920 until 1954. He was pastor at Archer Reformed Church until 1960 when he retired and moved to Orange City. Mrs. Lubbers died Aug.

18, 1979 and he moved Sheboygan Falls, later moving to a nursing home Des Moines. Rev. Lubbers was a member of the First Reformed Church in Orange City. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Bawden of Brookfield, Wis.

and Mrs. Arvin (Ruth) DeCook of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. Evelyn Frederickson WAKEFIELD, Neb. Evelyn E. Frederickson, 80, of Wakefield died Saturday in a care center at Wakefield.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Evangelical Convenant Church in Wakefield. The Rev. Neil Peterson will officiate. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery under the direction of the Bressler Funeral Home.

Mrs. Frederickson, the former Evelyn Edith Gunning. was born Moscow, Leningrad and Sochi with a group of 76 traveling companions on an educational tour of Russia's medical facilities. The tour, organized by the Arizona Department of Health Services, "went to see how Russia's school nurse program is organized and how it differs from ours," said Mrs. Merritt, who is the Alliance City Schools' registered nurse.

She taught school at Castana Normal School for eight years and had been a resident of Moorhead until moving to Onawa in 1965. Mrs. Nelson was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sons, Roy of Clinton, Ark. and Robert of Sioux City; one daughter, Mrs.

Richard (Elsie) Arndt of Storm Lake; two brothers, Herald of Onawa and Raymond of Moorhead; 11 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Gary Lee Ross CHEROKEE, Iowa Gary Lee Ross, 42, of Cherokee died suddenly Saturday at an auction house in Cherokee. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee. The Rev.

A.E. McCoy will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Ross was born Aug.

2, 1941, in Cherokee. He married Theresa Knutson in 1964 at Hinton. He married Patricia Bakker Aug. 30, 1982, in Elk Point, S.D. He worked as an auctioneer in the Cherokee area.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Nichole, Cori and Belinda, and one son, Casey, all of New Trier, his mother, Mrs. Laura Ross of Kingsley; two brothers, Robert of Sioux City and William of Bronson; four stepsons, Michael, Dale Jr. and John Bakker, all of Cherokee and Tom Bakker of Iowa City; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Mortenson and Mrs. Don (Debra) Green, both of Larrabee, Mrs.

Daryl (Cindy) Miller of Storm Lake, and Linda Bakker of Cherokee and seven stepgrandchildren. Floyd Fuller Loveland, and one (Lucile) great-grandson. ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa Floyd Fuller, 91, of Rock Rapids, formerly of Spencer, died Saturday in a hospital in Rock Rapids. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Jongewaard-Roste Funeral Home in Rock Rapids.

The Rev. Ruben Grueneich will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. in the Northlawn Cemetery at Spencer with the Rev. Nathaniel Perry of Spencer officiating.

Mr. Fuller was born April 25, 1892., in Jackson County. He married Zephra McMahon Oct. 3, 1914, at Spencer. She died in 1947.

He married Rosalie Simpson in September of 1957 at Spencer. She died in 1974. He lived his life in the Spencer area, moving to Rock Rapids three years ago. Survivors include three sons, Walter Louis and William, both of Spencer and Calvin of Zapata, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Newell (Kathryn) Longmore of Loveland, Mrs.

Arnold (Lucile) Dec. 24, 1902, in Morrison, Ill. She married Alvin Frederickson Aug. 19, 1922, in Sioux City. They farmed in the Wakefield area.

He died in 1982. Mrs. Frederickson was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include one daughter, Iris Larson of Wakefield; four sons, Keith of Omaha, Robert of Sioux City, Don of Denver, Colo. and David Wakefield; one brother, Emerson of Roseville, sister, Mrs.

Joe (Bertha) Brooks of Manistee, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Ann L. Bruscher HUBBARD, Neb. Ann L. Bruscher, 55, of Hubbard died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Holy Family Catholic Church in Decatur. The Rev. Emmet Meyers will officiate. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery.

The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the Hamil Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah. Mrs. Bruscher, the former Ann Taylor, was born Sept. 23, 1928, at Decatur.

She married Jim Karmann Aug. 15, 1945. She married Dennis Bruscher Nov. 23, 1969, in Decatur. Mrs.

Bruscher was a member of the Eagles Club. Survivors one son, Jack Karmann of Hubbard; two stepsons, Dennis and Dale Bruscher of Kansas City, six brothers, Jim and Harve, Wakefield, both Dale of Sr. of Lyons, Dixon, Bill John of Fall City and Leonard of Blencoe, Iowa; two sisters, Madge Pounds and Mary Gallup, both of Decatur and three grandchildren. Raymond Hattermann PAULLINA, Iowa Raymond A. Hattermann, 81, of Paullina died Sunday at his residence after a short illness.

Services will be at 2.0 p.m. Tuesday the Zion Lutheran Church, in Paullina. The Rev. Donald Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in the Prairie View Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today in the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home of Paullina. Mr. Hattermann was born Feb. 23, 1902, in Union Township, O'Brien County and attended rural schools.

He married Lillian Rohlfson Feb. 11, 1925, in Paullina. They farmed in O'Brien County for many years, retiring in 1958 and moving into Paullina. Mr. Hattermann was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and Paullina Senior Citizen's Group.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Glen (Faye) Bjerke of Clark, S.D., Mrs. Lois Shafer of Golden, Mrs. Orlynn (Betty) Koehlmoos of Paullina and Mrs. Wesley (Mavis) Rehder of Calumet; one son, Alvin of Paullina; one brother, Bruene Hattermann and two half brothers, Almond and Francis Briggie, all of Paullina; 15, grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Helen Nelson ONAWA, Iowa Helen Nelson, 87, of Onawa died Saturday in a nursing home in Onawa. Bid-rigging probe continues quietly OMAHA, Neb. (AP) A federal investigation of suspected bidrigging by contractors on Nebraska highway construction projects is continuing quietly, according to the investigator heading the probe. There have been no indictments since June 1982, and a special grand jury assigned to weigh evidence and issue indictments was dissolved in April. But Robert Allen, who heads the U.S.

Justice Department's anti-trust office in Chicago, said, "It is not safe to assume the investigation is over. It is continuing." Allen declined to give details of the probe or to say whether he expects more indictments, the Omaha World-Herald reported in its Sunday editions. But he said evidence could be heard by another Nebraska grand jury that meets regularly to consider criminal matters. The special bidrigging grand jury, which worked in Lincoln, returned all but two of the 29 indictments in Nebraska. At the same time, state investigators are looking at other aspects of bid- -rigging, Nebraska Attorney General Paul Douglas Darrell Farley Darrell D.

"Pete" Farley, 31, 2418 Court died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Berkemier Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard W.

Pingel of Concordia Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Farley was born May 6, 1952, in Sioux City and was a lifelong resident. He was a construction worker and co-founder and coach of the Siouxland Junior Boxing Club.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy and Jason, both of Sergeant Bluff; two daughters, Stacey of Sergeant Bluff and Tina of Sioux City; two stepdaughters, Tosha and Freedom, City; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Decker of Whiting, Iowa; two brothers, Dennis and David, both of Sioux City; two sisters, Sandy and Teresa, both of Sioux City and his grandmother, Mrs. Charlotte Evans of Sioux City. Dr.

Thomas L. Coriden, Woodbury County medical examiner, ruled the Countryside Retirement Home, died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Climbing Hill (Iowa) Cemetery. Dr.

Mark Bubuck of Central Baptist Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Mrs.

Roll, the former Florence L. Gray, was born June 7, 1892, at Scott, Wis. She had been a resident of Sioux City for 20 years, moving to Denver, Colo. in 1939. She worked for many years at the Denver General Hospital and returned to Sioux City two years ago to be near her daughter.

She was a member of the Baptist Church in Denver. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bud (Elaine) Jones of Sioux City; one brother, Joseph of Alhambra, several grandchildren and great -grandchildren. death was suicide. Mrs.

Gladys Keeney of Andrew; 27 grandchildren; 33 greatgrandchildren and one great-greatgranddaughter. Douwie Vander Schaaf HULL, Iowa Douwie J. Vander Schaaf, 70, of Hull died Friday in a hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the American Reformed Church in Hull.

The Rev. Herman Van Galen and the Rev. Henry J. VerMeer will officiate. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today in the Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home in Hull. Mr. Vander Schaaf was born Nov. 18, 1912, at Hull.

He graduated from Hull High School and attended Iowa State Normal School at Cedar Falls. He taught in rural schools in the Hull area for six years. He married Agnes Kreulen Nov. 23, 1937, Kansas City, Mo. He worked at Koyker Mfg.

Co. in Hull from 1937 until he retired: as general plant manager. Mr. Vander Schaaf was a member of the American Reformed Church where he served on the Consistory as elder and deacon. He served on the Board of Education of Hull public schools for 25 years, the Board of Directors of Northwest Iowa Technical College in Sheldon for eight years and the Hull City Council for the last four years.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Derek of Falls Church, Dale of Ames and Dean of Cape Coral, two daughters, Mrs. Duane (Rebecca) Woodward of Hull and Mrs. Robert (Karla) Kenefake of Alexandria, one brother, Gerrit J. of Hull; one sister, Mrs. George (Clarraine) Timmer of Rock Valley, and nine grandchildren.

Gertrude A. Cole STORM LAKE, Iowa Gertrude A. Cole, 79, of Storm Lake died Saturday in a nursing home in Storm Lake. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake.

The Rev. Donald 0. Callen will officiate. Burial will be in the Newell Cemetery. There will be a Rebekah service at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Earlich, the former Mabel Irene Nixon, was born Oct. 13, 1905, in Turin, Iowa. She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City and the Methodist Hospital School Nursing. She lived all her adult life in Sioux City where she was private duty nurse.

She married William E. Earlich Aug. 15, 1928, in Sac City, Iowa. He died June 7, 1974, in Sioux City. She was a member of Whitfield United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Genevieve) Becker of Le Mars, Iowa, and Mrs. S.M. (Esther) Hickman of Sioux City. William Agostine William Agostine, 57, Sequim, former Sioux City resident, died Sept.

19, 1983, in Seattle, Wash. Services were Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sequim. Mr. Agostine was born May 23, 1926, in Sioux City.

He graduated from East High School and attended Pullman State College in Pullman, Wash. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Lorelle Horne May 13, 1950, in Sioux City. He had been a resident of Sequim since 1951 where he worked as a highway engineer for the State of Washington, Department of Highways.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sequim. The probe covers sales of supplies and equipment that have been used in construction work, he said. "We are doing some other things, too. But don't want to talk about it," he said. The state investigation could lead to either criminal or civil action, Douglas said. Allen also declined to say whether Nebraska contractors might be as a result of bid-rigging probes in adjacent states.

Investigations now are under way in Iowa, South Dakota, Colorado and Missouri. A source close to the investigation in Kansas said that probe is over. It was the Kansas probe, that 'led Justice Department investigators to Nebraska. The Nebraska investigation, which began in September 1981, has led to the indictment of 14 paving companies and 15 company executives. Twelve companies and 12 executives pleaded guilty to -rigging, and two companies and three executives were acquitted after trials.

Throughout the Midwest, 31 companies and 35 executives have been convicted or pleaded guilty, and five companies and seven executives have been acquitted, according to U.S. Justice Department records. The state-by-state report of the indictments: -Iowa: Four companies and five executives indicted; three companies and four executives pleaded guilty or convicted; the case of one company and one individual pending. -South Dakota: One company indicted; case still pending. -Kansas: 14 companies and 16 executives indicted; 14 companies and 15 executives convicted or pleaded guilty; one executive acquitted.

-Colorado: Six companies and eight executives indicted; two companies pleaded guilty, three companies acquitted, charge against sixth company dismissed; four executives pleaded guilty, three acquitted, one executive case pending. -Missouri: Investigation under way, no indictments. Nationally, there have been 400 highway bid-rigging convictions. A Justice Department spokeswoman said bid-rigging investigations currently are under way in 20 states and probes have been concluded in five other states.
