Vernette Baker of Fresno, and Mrs. Maree Spence of LaPorte, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Hilda Friedrichsen, Mrs. Agnes Stamp and Mrs. William (Helen) Goettsch, all of Holstein, and Mrs.

Amanda Pfalzgraf of Cherokee; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Sanborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Hansen will officiate.

Burial will be In Roseland Cemetery at Sanborn. Mr. Gallup was bom June 4, 1948, at Sanborn and was graduated from Sanborn High School in 1967. He married Kay Loafman in November 1966 at Sanborn. They lived in the Sanborn area before moving to Colorado Springs.

Survivors include a son, James Milo, and a daughter, Jill Michelle, both of Cataldo, Idaho; his mother, Margaret Gallup of Milford; a brother, Daniel of Spirit Lake, and his maternal grandmother, Eva Olson of Mitchell, S.D. 1903, at Akron and she received her education there. She was married Sept. 17, 1925, In Sioux City. The couple lived In the SaJix area before moving to Varina In 1928.

They farmed in the Varina area for many years. Mrs. Lamoureux was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church and the Dover Township Peppy Pals. Survivors Include the widower; four daughters, Mrs.

Emmett (Pat) Hammen of Lakeside, Mrs. Denis (Betty) Sigrang of Tulsa, Mrs. Charles (Yvone) Higgens of Early and Mrs. Tom (Sheri) Haley of Omaha; two sons, Arthur of Varina and Larry of Longmont, a sister, Mrs. William (Helen) Murray of Newcastle, 40 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

(i Mrs. Herman Blunk RICKETTS, Iowa Mrs. Herman Blunk, 84, Ricketts, died Tuesday in a hospital at Denison. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St.

Paul Lutheran Church in Hanover Township. The Rev. S. W. Holstein will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery under direction of the Huebner Funeral Home of Charter Oak. Mrs. Blunk, the former Emilie Bohlmann, was born April 18, 1897, in Crawford County and she was reared on a family farm. She was married Dec.

12, 1928, in Hanover Township. The couple made their home on a farm near Ricketts. After retirement, they moved into Ricketts. Mr. Blunk died in 1959.

In 1976, Mrs. Blunk entered Eventide Lutheran Home at Denison. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Hedwig Bohlmann of Denison. James P.

Gallup SANBORN, Iowa James P. Gallup, 33, of Colorado Springs, 1 and formerly of Sanborn, died 1 LeoV. Wendt MARCUS. Iowa Leo Vernon Wendt, 80, Marcus, died Tuesday In a hospital at Le Mars of a long illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m.

Friday in Holy Name Catholic Church at Marcus. Monsignor Leonard Ziegman will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and there will be a prayer service at 8 p.m.

In the Roethler Funeral Home at Marcus. Mr. Wendt was born Oct. 31, 1900, at Marcus. He married Marie Alesch Sept.

7, 1927, at Marcus. He was a lifelong area farmer who retired in 1960. Mr. Wendt was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. He sang with the Cherokee County Chorus and the Le Mars Barbershoppers.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Bill of Algona and Francis of Marcus; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Hagedorn of Mason City and Mrs. Roger (Devera) Broderick of Pacific Palisades, two sisters, Mrs. Otmar Huewe of Remsen and Mrs. Henry Cass of San Leendro, 13 grandchildren and a greatgrandchild.

Walter Sorensen HOLSTEIN, Iowa Walter Sorensen, 80, Holstein, died Monday of cancer in Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital at Cherokee. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday In St. Paul Lutheran Church at Holstein. The Rev.

Roger Peterson will officiate. Burial will be in Holstein Cemetery under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home. Mr. Sorensen was born July 16, 1900, at Holstein and was a lifelong resident of the area. He married Viola Anderson June 25, 1919, at Holstein.

Mr. Sorensen farmed until retiring in February 1967 and moving into Brenda Zoutendam SHELDON, Iowa Brenda Zoutendam, 16, Sheldon, died Tuesday in a Sioux City hospital of Injuries suffered in a two-car accident Saturday near Sheldon. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Bethel Reformed Church at Sheldon. The Rev Paul Tanis will officiate.

Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery at Sheldon. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home at Sheldon. Miss Zoutendam was born April 17, 1965, at Sheldon. She was a member of Bethel Reformed Church, RCYR and church choir.

She attended Sheldon High School where she would have been secretary of the junior class this fall. She was a varsity cheerleader and a member of the high school concert choir and band. She also was active in summer theater. Survivors include her parents. Dr.

and Mrs. Ronald Zoutendam of Sheldon; a brother, Mark of Manama, Bahrain, In the Arabian Gulf; three sisters, Mrs. Rich (Ronda) Hollingsworth of Pittsburg, and Greta and Donna, both at home; and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Will Kooman of Hingham, Wis. Mrs.

Leo Lamoureux VARINA, Iowa Mrs. Leo Lamoureux, 77, Varina, died Tuesday in a hospital at Storm Lake. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Columbkille Catholic Church at Varina.

The Rev. John Brennan will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited by the Altar Society at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Mahaney Funeral Home at Fonda and by parishioners at 8 p.m.

Mrs. Lamoureux, the former Evelvn Edgar, was born Dec. 12, Father of actress Reed dies at Denison at 87 DENISON, Iowa William R. Mullenger of Denison, father of actress Donna Reed, died Wednesday In a nursing home at Denison. He was 87.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church at Denison. Dr. L. Scott Woodworth will officiate.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under direction of the Maxwell Funeral Home. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 8. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Mr.

Mullenger was born July 4, 1894, in Washington Township, Crawford County, and he attended rural schools. He later was engaged in farming with his father in Jslishnabotna Township. He married Hazel Jane Shives 30, 1920, at Lake View, and they made their home on the farm. He was one of the first farmers to use soil conservation practices in prawford County. In 1955, they retired and moved to Denison.

Mrs. Mullenger died July 17, 1975. Mr. Mullenger had been a resident of Eventide Nursing Home since June of 1979. l- He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the First United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 8.

Survivors in addition to Donna Reed (Mrs. Grover Asmus) of Tulsa, include two other daughters, Mrs. Michael (Lavonne) Flynn of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Michael (Karen) Moreland of Lit-tleriver, two sons, Keith of Wilton, and William L. of Denison; a sister, Mildred in California, and 16 grandchildren.

"Bill" Arney, 75, Battle Creek, died Tuesday at his home at Battle Creek. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the First Presbyterian Church at Battle Creek. The Rev. Brad Braley will officiate.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery under direction of the Christensen Funeral Home of Battle Creek. Mr. Arney was born Aug. 13, 1905, in Calhoun County. He had lived in the Battle Creek community since 1936 and prior to that in Sioux City and Sioux Falls, S.D.

He operated Spotts Hardware at Battle Creek. In 1956, he purchased the Blue Eagle Lanes at Holstein which he operated until his death. He married Fern Spotts. She died in 1948. He married Maxine Sexton in 1951.

i Mr. Arney was a retired member of the Battle Creek Fire Department. Survivors include the widow; a son, Terry of Morristown, N.J.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Charles (Janice) Wolterman of Danbury; a sister, Mrs. Jean Bandy of Wickenburg, I three grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.

31, 1932, at Hopkins, Mo. The couple farmed in Plymouth County. He entered the care center at Akron in 1976. Mr. Pausch was a member of St.

Paul Lutheran Church. Survivors include the widow; two sons, Harry Jr. of Le Mars and Ronald of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two daughters, Mrs. David (Delores) Hansen of Stanton, and Mrs. Robert (Loretta) Lubben of Le Mars; a brother, Carl of Le Mars, and a sister, Mrs.
