RUTH C. ANDRA, 87, of 2916 Habana Way, Tampa, died Sunday. She was a homemaker and had lived in the Bay area three years. She was of the Catholic faith. She is survived by a sister, Eunice C.

He is survived by his parents, Jose R. and Maria Arbelaez of Tampa; a son, Alexander of South America; four brothers, Diego, Arbey, Jose and William, all of Tampa; and four sisters, Nubia Bote-ro, Sonia Johnson, Luney Parr and Pieoloid Arbelaez, all of Tampa. He was a native of El Salvador, South America and had lived in the Bay area eight years. He was a student and chemical engineer. THELMA W. CARSON, 87, of Sun City Center, Tampa, died Saturday. She was a native of Townsend, Ga. and had lived in the Bay area nine years, coming from Monroe, La. She was a former eight-year resident of Baptist Manor and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tampa.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn C. Cleveland of Sun City Center; a son, J. Carl of Pa-latka; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Lewers Funeral Home. MARY JANE CLINE, 74, of Granite St, Tampa, died Sunday.

She was a native of Polk County and had lived in the Bay area since 1947. He was the co-founder of the Oleson Cabinet Shop. He was of the Presbyterian faith. He is survived by four sons, Alton, Harry, Donald and John, all of Tampa; four daughters, Charo-lette Johnson of Tallhassee, and Beatrice Inman, Dorathy Bergh and May Jordan, all of Tampa; a sister, Bessie Mueller of Oshkosh, 35 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. GRACE HELENA TROOK, 81, of Tampa, died Saturday. She was a homemaker and had lived in the Bay area four years. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star.

GODDIN, 65, of Tampa, died Saturday. He had lived in the Bay area 40 years, coming from Blountstown. He was employed as a shipping clerk. He is survived by his wife, Bernadine; a son, Robert E. of Tampa; daughter, Candina Pope of Seffner, two sisters, Cora Gibson of Tampa and Nancy Sullivan of Jacksonville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

JAKOB "JACK" JAKOBSEN, 90, of Overland Park, died Friday. He was a native of Egersund, Norway and had lived in the Bay area 34 years, also living in Chicago. He was a retired yacht captain and was charter president of the Masters and Engineers Association. He is survived by his wife, Annette; a daughter, Jackie Jakobsen of Tampa; two sons, Frederick F. of Lakewood, Calif, and Richard D.

of Overland Park, two sisters, Astrid Schmidt of Minnesota and Ingeborg Foss of Illinois; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Swil-ley Funeral Home. CARMELA M. LOPEZ, 79, of Tampa, died Saturday. She was a lifetime resident of the Bay area where she was a retired cigar maker.

He had lived in the Bay area 30 years having been a 30-year carnival worker with the Royal American Show and Goodings Million Dollar Midways. For the last 20 years, he was the caretaker for1 the Greater Tampa's Sumter Lowry, dies at 91 Lifetime resident and Tampa's 1974 Citizen of the Year, retired Lt.

Gen. Sumter Lowry, died Sunday. He was 91. Often quoted and known for his annual military reunions and staunch political beliefs, Lowry led a distinguished military life dating back to 1916 when he captained the 2nd Florida Infantry near the Mexican border. Lowry went on to be awarded the Victory Medal for service in World War followed by the Bronze Star, Distinguished Service Medal and Bronze Service Arrowhead, D-Day Landing, among many other, for his service during World War II.

He received a commendation from the Florida Legislature for his World War II achievements. In 1919, Lowry co-founded the American Legion National Organization in St. Louis, Mo. Tampa's Lowry Park is named after his father. Lowry was born in St.

Augustine and was a graduate of Hillsborough High School. He was also a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and received an honorary degree from the University of Tampa, where the Sumter L. Lowry Freedom Award was established. He served as president of the Victory National Life Insurance Co. of Tampa and as chairman of the board of Gulf Life Insurance, Florida Metals Bushnell Steel Co.

and Bushnell Steel Products. He authored three books and ran unsuccessfully for Florida governor in 1956 and U.S. Congress in 1962. Born In Arcadia he was a lifelong resident of DeSoto County. He was retired from the G. Pierce Wood Hospital and a veteran of WWII and a Protestant by faith. Survivors are his wife Ina Mae Dominick Mickler, Arcadia, formerly of Webster, FL, son James Mickler, Ft Lauderdale, daughter Doris Ingram, Jacksonville, brother Ed Mickler, Arcadia, sisters Juanita Morgan and Mary Lee White, both of Arcadia, and six grandchildren. Robert Newman, Vi, 1314 Carmen St, resident of Tampa for 30 years, died in a local hospital Sunday. Mr. Newman will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date at the Showmen's Rest Cemetery. He was a member of the Greater Tampa Showmen's Assn. He had worked as a carnival worker for over thirty years with Royal American Shows and Goodings Million Dollar Midways.
