The Rev. Victor V. Schuldt officiated. Mr. and Mrs.

Dwight of Cherokee and Harrington H. Buck of Waterloo, Iowa, are parents of the couple. A reception for 300 guests was held in the church parlors. After a wedding trip to Chicago and eastern states, the couple is at home in Schenectady, N.Y. Mr.

and Mrs. Buck were graudated from Iowa State University, Ames. He also received a master's degree from the University of Iowa, and is with General Electric Co. in Schenectady. The bride will work for a master's degree at Rensselaer Polythechnic Institute, Troy N.Y., and also will teach at the institute.

Johanna Kool Returns From Ankara, Turkey Miss Johanna Kool, daughter of Mrs. Dreka Kool of Hawarden, Iowa, recently returned er teaching the past year at Ankara, Turkey, at an American dependents' school. A former Hawarden teacher, Miss Kool has also taught in Juneau, Alaska. She plans to leave next month for Ethiopia, North Africa, to again teach at an American base. Miss Kool has a master's degree in education and has served on the staff at Wayne State Teachers College.

C. E. Schurman of Fremont, were married July 3 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church at Bloomfield, with Clarence Hansen officiating. A church reception was held following the ceremony.

The bride was graduated from Wayne State College, and her husband from Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa. The couple traveled by plane to Hawaii for a wedding trip. They will reside at E. Ninth St. Schuyler, where both will teach.

Olaus Vindahl of Akron, Iowa, formerly of Hudson, S.D., celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary June 27 with a family dinner at their home. The couple was married in 1906 at Elk Point. S.D. They KVTV SALE AT $3.500.000 ANNOUNCED KVTV, Channel 9 television station here, was sold Friday to the Wisconsin Valley Television by People's Broadcasting for $3,500,000 cash. The sale is subject to approval by the Federal Communications Commission, which will take about two months, according to officials.

The new owners, of Wausau, own two other television stations, in Wausau and Madison, and are affiliated with seven newspapers in the Wisconsin area. Richard D. Dudley, president, said there will be no personnel changes at KVTV. WNAX-Radio of Sioux City and Yankton, S.D., also was sold recently, by People's Broadcast-. ing to Red Owl Stores, Inc.

Sales of both WNAX and KVTV were handled by H. W. Cassill, Sioux City, a member of Blackburn nation-wide media brokers. People's Broadcasting, of Columbus, Ohio, is affiliated with Nationwide Insurance and owns a television station in Knoxville, WRFD-Radio in Columbus, and is applying for a new television: station in Columbus. Coral was honored at a family at the home of her nephew, Glenn Wakeman of Akron, Iowa, when she celebrated her 93rd birthday anniversary. Mrs. Madden was born July 4, 1872, in Plymouth County and has resided in 1 Sioux City most of her life. Relatives and friends from Pierre, Watertown and Sioux Falls, S.D., Sioux City, Ireton, Hawarden and Akron, and Kansas City, attended the birthday celebration. Sioux City Saddle and Hunt Club members will ride from their clubhouse at 8 o'clock Sunday morning and return there for an 11 o'clock brunch.

South Dakotans Exchange Vows Miss Marion Wiese, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wiese of Chester, S.D., and Dorwin Schmidt, Dell Rapids, S.D., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schmidt, were married July 5 at St.

Mary's Catholic Church at Dell Rapids. Rev. K. C. Kucin officiated.

The bride is a graduate of South Dakota Beauty Academy, and her husband was graduated from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, and is a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. The couple is at home in Dell Rapids after a wedding trip to Aspen, Colo. Invite Civilians to Dining-In Ritual Event The Sioux City Air Base has invited leading Sioux to a formal banquet using the Air Force Dining-In ritual, in conjunction with the fifth annual airport exposition, at the Sheraton-Warrior Motor Inn July 24. This is the first such invitation. The Dining-In ritual is customarily reserved only for members of the military.

Guest speaker will be Lt. Gen. Herbert B. Thatcher, commander of the U. S.

Air Force Air Defense Command. Col. Joseph H. Belser, new commander of the Sioux City Air Defense Sector, will be host. Guests will include some of the Air Force Thunderbirds.

Captive Nations Week Slated The executive board of the Young Republicans Club of Woodbury County is urging citizens to observe Captive Nations Week, which begins Sunday. A statement from the board read: "It is not enough to preserve freedom for those who have it. Our eventual goal must be to capture it for those unfortunate nations and peoples who have had it stolen from them by Communist imperialism, and to extend it to those who have never had it Listed by the board as nations and non-Rusisan nationalities held under Communist control are: Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Carpatho-Ruthenia, mainland China, Cossackia, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Idelural, Latvia, Lithuania, North Korea, North Vietnam, Poland, Rumania, Tibet, Turkestan, I Ukraine and Yugoslavia. Gospel Concert by Trio Sunday The Revivalaires Trio (above), gospel recording artists, will present a gospel concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Church of the Open Bible, Sixth and Court Streets, the Rev. Elbert Dougherty, pastor, announced. Members of the trio are Bob Dempster, manager, Los Angeles; Sharon Bock of Vancouver, and Bert Molnar of Cleveland, Ohio. Since their organization in 1961, the group has performed in 11 countries, just returning from four months in the Caribbean Islands and South America.

The trio is accampanied by Emily Clark, a speaker who has completed three missionary tours abroad. She also taught for 13 years in a Bible college. License TV Repairmen HARTFORD, Conn.
