International Tribune Wii U.S. Reviewing Paisley's Visa Status The State Department said Monday in Washington it is reviewing the visa status of Northern Ireland Protestant leader Ian Paisley, scheduled to visit the United States next month. Deputy spokesman Alan Romberg said the review is to determine if Paisley has said or done anything to make him ineligible for a visa.

Before Romberg spoke, Rep. William Carney, discussed the subject with Deputy Secretary of State William Clark. Carney said he met briefly with Clark to deliver a letter signed by 109 House members urging withdrawal of the three-year visa granted Paisley during the Carter administration.
