South Missouri Assembly Will Run June 21 -July 2 Dr. S. G. Shepard, pastor "of the First Church, Caruthersville, and second vice president of the South Missouri Assembly at Van Buren, announces the pro-, gram of the assembly for this summer. The assembly this year will run June 21-July 2.

Featured speaker the first week is Dr. C. E. Matthews, convention-wide secretary of evangelism, and for the second Dr. Clyde T.

Francisco of the faculty of Southern Seminary, Louisville, Ky. Dr Warren Angell of the music faculty of Oklahoma Baptist University will lead the singing-for both weeks. On Sunday afternoon, June 27, there will be a great homecoming for the assembly. After dinner on the grounds, arl evangelistic rally and message will be led by Dr. C.

E. President of the assembly is Rev. W. J. Oldham of the First Church, Monett.

Other officers include Rev. Weldon Mar-cum of the First Church, West Plains, first vice president, and Rev. Fred L. Jones of the Second Church, Poplar Bluff, third vice president. NEW SOUTHERN BAPTIST TV SERIES Arrangements have been made by Dr.

Paul Stevens, director of the Radio and Television Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, for the production of a half -hour pilot film in preparation for a proposed TV series. The film is to be made by Family Films, producers of religious motion pictures for church and television. It will go before the cameras some time in July, at the KTTV studios in Hollywood, according to an announcement by Sam Hersh, Family Films president. The pilot film will tell, in modern terms, the Biblical story of "The Prodigal Son." a Hickory Hill, Concord Association. The ANNOUNCEMENT IS MADE ELSEWHERE IN THIS PAPER OF THE ELECTION OF DR.

WINSCOTT AND ROCK HILL BAPTIST CHURCH, ST. LOUIS, ON TWENTY-FIVE YEARS of growth, development and splendid service in a great and growing field. During this period of time $65,027.32 has been given to world missions. Five hundred and twenty-one people have been baptized and. 622 added otherwise.

Four fine young men have been set apart for the ministry: Toni Cossairt, Nelson Reagan, James Christopher and Roy Johnson. Four hundred and five were in Sunday school last Sunday. It was a joy to be with them for an anniversary message at the morning hour and to have fine fellowship with them at the bounteous table spread in the basement of the church. H. Allison, received the, Doctor of Theology degree at Central Seminary commencement last Thursday. We offer our sincere congratulations and best wishes. Dr. Allison is doing a fine job in promoting the Brotherhood and stewardship phase of our statewide program.

Two members of our state board, also, received Th.D. degrees at Central Seminary last Thursday Pastor W. F. Mc-Gibney of Memorial Baptist Church, Columbia, and Pastor David G. Hause of Maywood Baptist Church, Kansas City.

Pastor Glenn E. Bryant of Grant Avenue Baptist Church, Springfield, and Brother E. R. Rbustio of St. Joseph were, also, awarded doctor's degrees.

Our congratulations to them all. HOLLISTER HILL TRIP. We made a hurried trip to Hollister Hill last Wednesday in company with our business manager, J. W. Fisher.

oOo The First Church, Montgomery City, is now in the midst of a campaign to raise $35,000 for the erection of an educational unit. The project is under the direction of the pastor, Rev. Emmett Owens-by. At the present time the class rooms are overcrowded and in many cases the classes are meeting in cubby holes. Dr.

William E. Martin, pastor of the Chelsea Baptist Church, Kansas City, says that things are going well there. They are now undertaking two phases of a three-step building program that adds space for 200 additional people. The project willv cost approximately $80,000. An old building is being torn away to provide parking space.

First, Cherry ville, has just closed one of the best revivals it ever had. The evangelist was Dr. Paul Weber, pastor of the First Church, Salem, and song services were led by Raymond Gott, a member of the church. As a result the church was increased by 31 members, 27 by baptism. "We are grateful for Dr.

Weber, and he is a great man of God. Each evening he preached inspiring messages that stirred the hearts of everyone. The church has been greatly blessed and strengthened. "We also want to give the pastor, Rev. William Wynn, a lot of credit for the effects of the revival and the way the church has drown since he has been pastor.

He is a consecrated man of God who is always busy for the Lord. Brother Gott is also a consecrated Christian and did a good work." meeting lasted eight days, March, 21-28, and Rev. W. Dewey Baker was the Rev. Ray Conyers is the pastor.

The Sunday school reached the highest attendance on record on March 28. Eight were received into the church, seven by baptism. "Rev. and Mrs. Conyers are doing a constructive work in this church," says Evangelist Baker.

The Wisconsin Avenue Baptist Church at Wisconsin and Nebraska Avenue NW, Washington, D. uses Southern Baptist literature and supports the program of the Southern Baptist Convention.
