In winding up the football season the Cornhnskers trampled on the Colorado Aggies by the largest ecore they have piled np this season. The largest heretofore was the score against Wesleyan wherein Nebraska won 55 to 0. Oklahoma came next with a 44 to 0 defeat, Haskell fell 41 to 0, Ames dropped a game by 55 to 3, Kansas fell victim by a 28 to 0 score, Pitt was victim of a 10 to 0 'defeat and Notre Dame, the only team able to whip the Huskers this year, won from Nebraska by the close ecore of 7 to 0.

Judged from their later activities', the Cornhnskers should have been able. to win from Notre-Dame had the game been played two weeks later. Nebraska, going at her best in the Pitt game, wou-ld have trimmed the Irish tT rnZTihrrZ ing to the dope.1 In truth the Corn-, huskers had an excellent team, well rounded out with a heavy line, speedy ends and a fast hard-hitting, passing and kicking combination in the back garden. The victory over the Colorado -Aggies clears the atmosphere in the mid: die west- Missouri Valley champions and, lacking one game, all-victorious, the Huskers shed their moleskins for the season with prospects of. another team as good if better, for next season and with the additional prospects of having Head Coach Dawson and Assistant Coaches Frank and Day to put the matarial in condition for an all-victorious season.

Nebraska's winning Cornhnskers rounded out their victorious season Thanksgiving day by trouncing the Colorado Aggies 70 to 7 on the Nebraska gridiron. Speed, weight "and ability to pass besides adeptness in the Husks backfield on defensive work against the aerial attack gave Nebraska a superiority over the visitors with which the "Mountain Farmers were unable to cope.

Sweeping everything before them in a whirlwind attack the Cornhnskers carried the pigakin into Colorado territory in the opening period and a series of line bucks and end runs carried the ball close to the Aggie frontier where Hartley stabbed the line for a tnnrhflnwn How the Score Grew. The second period opened with a rush. DeWitz thru the Fanner fence on the opening play aad sprinting tuitty yards to a toucnaown, rolling ticklers all of the way with a systematic play of stiff -armins and shifting in his dash. Hartley's 53-yard return of F. Hartshorn's 57-yard punt carried the ball again into Aggie land and another group of bucks thru the visiting line placed Hartley nean to thaaFarmer goal where he crashed thru for the third touchdown of the game.

Within a few minutes 6f the end of the first half Captain Swanson pulled a stellar act similar to his trick at Pitf when he pulled a pass from Hart- l.a siit nf tia olv flnri elHriripri thrn thp WUfc uAk u. Aggie backs, running 40 yards for another. touchdown. 'The third quarter was a repetition pf the second in the number of points made. A long string of line bucks netting consistent gains of substantial dimensions placed Nebraska near enough to the Colorado border that DeWitz was able to wriggle thru for another touchdown.

On the Aggie thirty-yard line Hartley tossed a 15-yatd pass to Captain Swanson whe srfared it out of the ozone and, brush-tng off a few Agrie tacklers, reeled off the remaining fifteen yards for another touchdown. Lewellen passed to Russell over the Aggie goal Tor the last touchdown of the period near the end of the third quarter. The final quarter witnessed Nebraska's last trio of tallies and, as well J' the Colorado Aggies single touchdown. Puncturing the Aggie line by husky bucks that carried the pigskin deep into the Colorado end of the field, Nebraska again scored when Noble sprinted around the Aggie right end and ran 24 yards for a touchdown. The backs having been pushed their limit the Husker pilot tried a new one.
