The Belles finally dropped the opener to the Rockford Peaches, 9-5, when the Peaches scored five runs to take the contest in the first half of the ninth Inning. I Pitcher Carolyn Morriss of the Peaches snatched her own game out of the fire in the final frame. The Peaches trailed, 5-4, going into the final game. Belles hurler Mary Crews walked Betty Rohrer of the Peaches after two of her teamrrjiates, were out.
